Shrouded in Darkness, private [Nhieling] Empty
PostSubject: Shrouded in Darkness, private [Nhieling]   Shrouded in Darkness, private [Nhieling] EmptyMon Feb 21, 2011 10:55 pm

Location: Germany
Weather: Cloudy

A red head, with a thick fur coat and a star birthmark in her cheek walked solemnly across a Graveyard. Akehiko had been to the Graveyard cemetery of the Vander Bloom family a few times. Most of those visits included the burial of a family member who had died either during a Job, assassinated by another family member, or simply committed suicide. Some of the burials were even incomplete. An arm, an eye, a liver, a testicle would be buried just for the sake of it. Not one family member died a glorious death. But none of that mattered, to her, they were just baggage in the history of the Vander Blooms.

It seemed like it was always snowing in Germany. Well, her part of Germany. The blanket of white, cold snow covered the whole forest, and Akehiko strained to remember whether the forest that had surrounded them had been green at some point. She put her gloved hands into her fur coat's pocket to keep the cold from seeping in. She passed through countless of tombstones, some of them she couldn't recognized or remember. The snow made it hard to walk, the light mist that always seemed to cover the grave had become thicker.

She stopped when she finally reached the epicenter of the Graveyard, where a sole statue of Loki; a young man crouched down with his hands clasping his head as if it might explode. This was her recent discovery. This was the saddest moment in the history of the Vander Blooms. Everyone had hid the fact that beneath this statue lay the tomb of someone very important to all. This was her father's tomb.

They had prohibited her from going near it, even though she didn't know. They wanted to take no risk, and hope that she didn't pry about it. Well, they were wrong. She strode to the statue, and removed her satin black gloves. She slowly touched the cold, hard stone and see if she could feel a connection with her dad. All she could feel was cold.

"So you're my dad..." Was all she said.

PostSubject: Re: Shrouded in Darkness, private [Nhieling]   Shrouded in Darkness, private [Nhieling] EmptyMon Feb 21, 2011 11:46 pm

Nhieling was currently in the human world. For once it wasn't for anything but nostalgia. In his young day he have been to Europe to get some teaching from every kind of mage he could. Frensh of German sorcery were the best in the human world.

Back in the day... When Nhieling through happiness was something real...

He once stop his wandering around the world, in Germany, and had started learning some old kind of magic under the teaching of a witch. It was something like in the 15century, maybe 14, didn't remember it clearly.

The fact was that this witch had a daughter, she was younger that Nhieling, but since both were immortal, it wasn't really important. They've fall in love, ironical isn't it? That the same thing he through could made him happy have ravaged him so much.
Witch hunt was still a national sport back in this day, and once, they got attacked by the inquisitor from the German church. His woman was pregnant at this time, meaning that she couldn't use her magical power. Nhieling was enough to protect them... Or he through so.

Nhieling got defeated. And deadly wounded. His was left for dead, because the inquisitors couldn't guess he would stand up the next day. Immortality had his advantage.

Anyways, it was too late. The sole thing he could recover was the mutilated corpse of his wife.

After this... Nhieling have gone in a killing spree, and got recorded in the Vatican record as one of the top class monster that had to been eliminated.

Since there, he only came here from time to time. Looking at the tomb.

There wasn't much more to said, one more part of his buried past. It seem that his child wasn't killed through, since he couldn't confirm that he was executed. After torturing to death a few people, he learn that the child mysteriously disappear, the only clue he had about it was that some influent family probably avoid him the execution to strengthened their own blood with magical filled one.

Since he couldn't do anything about it, Nhieling just accept that at least, maybe, someone over earth was still wearing their magical blood, the legacy of two world.

While leaving the graveyard, he end up encountering a young woman, that stared at a tomb. Nhieling could definitely feel a magic pulse from her, but witch weren't chased in our day, most people didn't even imagine they could exist.

You shouldn't stay here alone, you know, people aren't necessary well intentioned.

PostSubject: Re: Shrouded in Darkness, private [Nhieling]   Shrouded in Darkness, private [Nhieling] EmptyTue Feb 22, 2011 8:49 pm

Yuuki put her satin glove back on, the chill had made her fingers numb. The temperature was dropping little by little, evidenced by the small mist cloud formed by every breath. She didn't know what she had done, or why she had done it. She figured that if she could find some knowledge about her father, she could be proud about her heritage. But no one wanted to help her. She shook her head at the thought. Had she forgotten what she had been taught? "Trust no one, and live." That was the morale lesson her overbearing teacher had taught her before she skewered him. It wasn't pretty, but at least she had gotten some peace and quiet ever since.

She leaned on the pillar sustaining the statue, and began muttering to herself, as if talking to her dad somehow. "Father... did you trust someone? Is that why you're like this?" Yuuki would've been mad, if she thought that she would be given an answer. Maybe she wanted to prove her -step- mother wrong?

She stood up and started walking to the exit, when she heard footsteps in the snow. As if someone had pushed the alarm button in her consciousness, she took out two hand guns from their holsters and pointed them at opposite directions, inspecting the area clockwise. "No one should be here..." She thought annoyingly, unless she hadn't been alone since the beginning? "That's ridiculous. I would've sensed it/them coming..." She bit her lower lip. She knew she would be in a lot of training sessions just for this tiny incident.

"You shouldn't stay here alone, you know, people aren't necessary well intentioned." The voice came from behind her, and without betraying serious facial expression, she turned with guns still pointed up. She had been surprised, not because she'd been caught unaware, but by the serious lack of emotion in the tone. Sure, no one could beat her -step- mother's stern cold voice, but at least she had felt something. In this one, it was devoid.

A black shape, as ominous as death itself, limped frigidly at the exit. The mist embraced him as if to welcome him. She couldn't make out his face, or recognize him if he belonged to the Head family.

She chuckled and said. "You have a lot of nerve coming down here without our permission, whoever you are. Thanks for the warning, or is it a threat?"

PostSubject: Re: Shrouded in Darkness, private [Nhieling]   Shrouded in Darkness, private [Nhieling] EmptyTue Feb 22, 2011 10:23 pm

Nhieling smiled at her reaction. After all, the magic bloodline still weren't at ease it seem. The atmosphere was kinda cold, but he didn't care anymore, his body was frozen in eternity as his heart was.
Actually, said Nhieling, grinning ironically, it should be the one asking you why you're here. Why you're whole family is here.
This land was once a sacred place for the witch, a place where they could find the eternal sleep. Their last home on this world. I'm only here to offer my wish they would have fin a fairer world in the after life. A world where each of them could live...

Nhieling let the silence flow. Waiting for the young one to get unease. Then he added :

It's not a threat, I don't care about the people that cling to their belonging like this. The world is big you know. This world, and the others too.
Cemeteries were once a place where the living could come, and reflect upon themselves. But today, this is no more that a chain, binding people to their history, as if paying respect to their elders could make them more respectable. Nhieling tap the statue with the back of the hand. It's not in bone and stone that you'll find an answer.
Druid once have a tradition : Young men and young women had to leave their tribes, and went wandering on the world. They could never come back before having fin their own strength. They had to life from working to gain their food, chasing, surviving. At it's only after living 5 years like this they could come back and say they were now grow up : Because they have found their own answer with their own strength to what was their life : Their own work, and their own will.

Respecting elder is nice, but waiting after them is meaningless.

Nhieling paused, waiting for her reaction. He didn't really knew why he was saying it to her. Maybe because he was in a state where his own memories were hurting him, maybe because he through that maybe, somewhere, one of his own bloodline were still living, but it didn't have any importance for him right now. He had felt the sadness and the confusion that were filling her, and he was kinda curious.

PostSubject: Re: Shrouded in Darkness, private [Nhieling]   Shrouded in Darkness, private [Nhieling] EmptyWed Feb 23, 2011 3:24 am

"Actually..." He paused, and Yuuki somehow felt him smile. An eerie smile. "It should be the one asking you why you're here. Why you're whole family is here." He paused briefly before continuing. Yuuki strained to hear what he said, because to her, all she could hear a mumble. He began to speak, into what seemed like a tale.

"This land was once a sacred place for the witch, a place where they could find the eternal sleep. Their last home on this world. I'm only here to offer my wish they would have fin a fairer world in the after life. A world where each of them could live..."

Yuuki shook her head off, the snow that piled up falling to the ground. She still kept the guns up, not letting them go off their target. But seriously, her arms were killing her. How long was he gonna stand there, barfing up the story of his life? Did Yuuki even ask? Maybe she should just kill this... thing and get on with life. There were some more important things that listening to an old fart, and since when did she ever listen?

She didn't notice the man pause, and resumed once again to tell the tale. How old did he think she was? 8? She wasn't even listening fully, but she did pick up on a few words such as "witch", "home" and "afterlife". Was he just visiting someone? Someone in this family? Someone dead? What was the relation? Yuuki's interest was poked.

"Yawn!!" She said after he finished barfing his life's story. Her eyes were now a gleam of curiosity and malice. She had found something to play with. "If you're here to give me a history lesson, you'll just end up like my last tutor. Dead and with a giant stick up his ass. His last words something like " Make sure you do your homewo... and he was dead." She let the words sink in, and hopefully that got his imagination running. "So cut to the chase. What relationship do you have with my family? The only witch that lives here is my mom. And by your description..." She chuckled trying to imagine her -step- mother like that. "Oh god... I'm gonna have night mares..." She thought sarcastically.

"...she is not here and probably never was." she said finishing her sentence.

Nhieling grinned, then he lost patience. His puppet instantly came to life and repulse Yuuki weapons aways with a swift movement of it's scythe, You shouldn't play with gun. then, in the same spinning move, it swept her leg with the the handle, sending her to the snow.
You know, having magical power don't make you any special from where I come... And it's somehow rude to point a gun at someone that is just sharing his through with you...

Sooooooo... What do you intend to do now? Fight back with your little toy? Or to whine on your fate a little longer?

Nhieling wasn't known for his patience. He came closer to her because he felt her soul crying. The dog that beat the hand he's offered just need to be recalled his place.
Nhieling look at her, releasing his aura, one of pure madness and blood-lust, looking at her with pity in his eyes.

Akehiko should've been prepared for what happened next. But it was all too fast for her to see, despite the years of trainning she had. In a blur, a hideous looking puppet, appeared out of nowhere and knocked off the guns out of her hand. Technically, that would've been impossible. And yet the guns were suddenly out of her reach, as if it was like taking candy for her baby. Another movement caught her off guard and she felt her self tumble down the snow covered ground, the puppet pinned down to her with all it's strength. As a girl, what was she to do? Well, make a strategy of course. She obviously underestimated her opponent, but that was noting compared to his mistake. He had underestimated her. Obviously, she couldn't get out of here by words alone. The damage done to her wasn't grave, which meant that he disarmed her on purpose.

While her brain rummaged for tactics, the shadowed figure strode casually towards her.

"You know, having magical power don't make you any special from where I come... And it's somehow rude to point a gun at someone that is just sharing his through with you...

Sooooooo... What do you intend to do now? Fight back with your little toy? Or to whine on your fate a little longer?
" His smile was empty, just as his words were. Yet, in his eyes there was... pity?

Who was he anyway? If she was to find out, she would've to kick his zombie ass before she got any questions. If he started to tell another terribly long story, she would rip his mouth from his ugly face. She concentrated her magical power. She muttered silently words that she memorized over and over again, thanks to her mom's magic training.

"Gefangen im Sturm..." She chanted in her head. "Atem Gangart: Aufruhr!"

A cyan blue seal appeared infront of her and released a concentrated pressure of wind that lifted the ugly ass puppet into the air and released her from it's grip. She touched the seal with her left arm and jumped sideways to reach for both her guns, bring the seal with her. On her way, her free arm touched the ground beneath his feet and she chanted in her head once more "Fühlen Sie sich den Zorn" and whispered the name of the spell "Feuer Gangart: Sturz". Nothing happened, but Yuuki knew that the spell succeeded. The wind blew away everything within it's path, the snow floating in the air before settling in the ground once more. She took her guns, and shot 4 rounds, two from each gun straight at the shadowed man. The bullets passed through the seal without trouble, but when they got to the wind pressure they shot out faster than normal and
went through the shadowed man's bottom. She hadn't a clue where they hit. The leg? The thingh? The groin?

All she knew was to take out his legs. Plus, the added speed from Atem Gangart: Aufruhr would've made them more powerful. She shot 5 more towards the Puppet who was about to fall to the ground, through the cyan blue seal once more. They erupted into more powerful shots and hit most of the puppet's joints.

"Hmmph." She said as she took out a long exasperated breath. "Well, this place isn't where you come from. And pointing a gun at someone isn't rude." She said with a berating tone her mother used on her a lot. " It is rude however, to attack someone who hasn't even attempted to attack you yet."

She pointed her guns at him once more, this time ready with a counter. She took off her shoes, and socks, to feel the ground better against her skin. She shivered at the touch of the snow. "But I guess that is a moot point now is it? Let's change the subject. Who are you?"

Her attack weren't so fast that Nhieling couldn't dodge them with the minimum movement, or deflect it with his puppet scythe. After a few shot, directed at him, she aim for his puppet. He let her do since it wouldn't make any difference anyway. When the snow finally fall down to the ground after the burst of wind, Nhieling had activated his puppet aura, rendering it immune to her low level magic tricks. And was standing, unharmed.

So finally you wish to speak?
Said him with an amused smile this time. Who am I? An apparition of the past maybe... who know.
What I'm more curious is what a girl like you is making in an empty cemetery, the sight is kinda stranger don't you think?

"So finally you wish to speak?" He said with a voice that irritated her. " Who am I? An apparition of the past maybe... who know.

What I'm more curious is what a girl like you is making in an empty cemetery, the sight is kinda stranger don't you think?
"

Yuuki was even more annoyed that all of her attacks were impervious against him. Her bullets, though mundane, were backed up by magic and at the least that should've done some damage. Oh well. She had of course, underestimated his power. Nonetheless, everything could be over come if they had just the right mind, and of course, the right set of skills. She needed to buy a little more time, just enough to set her plans running.

The cyan blue seal that was her make shift shield, dissipated and left her vulnerable. Well, not that vulnerable. She needed to analyze her opponent carefully. He used some sort of puppet, which meant there were two ways of manipulating it: Threads or some sort of telekinesis. Either way, she would need to knock him out or severe the threads on the puppet. She knew that she needed to get rid of the puppet, so she would need a diversion. She wouldn't attack him, but only counter-attack if he attacked her. The puppet had only so much mobility, and she doubt it had the same dexterity as an actual human being. Nonetheless, she still had to be in her guard for that puppet. She wondered if there was any other ability this puppeteer was hiding, or was it just him hiding behind his puppet.

"First of all I'm not a girl." She had given up her feminity for power, and was casually dressed as a man at all times. " Second of all, you're right. It is strange for me to be here, because you and the cemetery have so much in common. For one thing, you'll be dead the next time you try that stunt of yours"

Threat now?... Just how the young are educated nowadays... Nhieling started moving, at first slightly, he started walking from tomb to tomb.
Killing me now? Not that you have either the guts or the power to do it anyways...
Nhieling had finally prepared his little tricks, and released his curse, without letting her notice it.

Giving femininity for power? What a joke... Nhieling still didn't know where her witch blood came from, but she definitely not went through a proper training as a witch.
Giving your femininity?... For power?... The only one that can use witch power are women you know... Meaning that it's from your femininity that your power came.
No, you haven't trade your femininity for power, you've trade your power for strength, and here the difference.

If you're so proud, then show me I was mistaking, just come at me, kid. Show me you're so called "power".

Said Nhieling, grinning at her like it was nothing more than a good joke, opening his arm widely.

Shrouded in Darkness, private [Nhieling] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Shrouded in Darkness, private [Nhieling]   Shrouded in Darkness, private [Nhieling] EmptyFri Feb 25, 2011 3:28 am

Akehiko's nerves were on the edge. Who did he think he was, coming down here, claiming preposterous things like this land belonging to some old witch of his, and then start attacking? She had enough. She wasn't gonna waste anymore of her time playing games with this stranger.

Yuuki followed his every step, as he moved from tomb to tomb.

"Killing me now? Not that you have either the guts or the power to do it anyways..." Just then something about him changed, and Yuuki could feel a tension in the air. A heavy feeling that seemed to weigh down on her consciousness. Maybe it was from too much exposure to the cold, or had the air been sucked out from her brain from this jacket?

"If you're so proud, then show me I was mistaking, just come at me, kid. Show me you're so called "power"." Yuuki couldn't believe these words had come out of his mouth, wherever it was. Much to her surprise, he let down all of his defenses and opened his arms wide as if he was about to give her a hug. Yuuki smiled, for she knew that somehow, even he wasn't that powerful. He was just playing with her. He had some sort of scheme in stored for her. And she would play right through it.

She smiled innocently, like when she wanted something from her father. She dropped the guns unto the snow, and she took of her jacket, revealing a lean athletic, yet sensual figure. Yes, even if she was wearing men/butler clothes.

She walked slowly, slithering through the snow like a snake. When she reached him, she started chanting in her head. "Fühlen Sie sich den Zorn..." she touched his chest, and moved up to his face. "You're right. Women do have power, and the power I have now is because I am a woman. Makes me curious how you found out though..." She inspected his face, which wasn't at all that bad. If he wasn't that old, and maybe with a nice personality to match, they might have gotten along well. " However, Men have the most power in the world. You are a living example. And that will be the cause of your own downfall." She kissed him in the lips, and chanted once more. Her hand slid from his chest, caressing his black clothing, until it reached his hips and slightly grazed on the groin area. She smiled playfully. "I'm not that kind of girl, if that's what you're thinking." She whispered in his ear.

"Gefangen im Sturm" then as she proclaimed the name of the spell, their lips separated. "Atem Gangart: Aufruhr"

A blue cyan seal appeared from beneath her and elevated her away from him. She landed quite far, reached out for her guns and shot another 5 rounds. She was almost out of bullets and this would be her last resort. She inhaled, whirled and took a few steps back into the direction of their house. "Verzicht"

At that moment, several explosions rocked the silence of the grave yard. She looked at her hand, as the light flashed behind her. She never wanted to touch a man ever again. She planted on in everyplace she had touched, the chest, the cheek, and then the groin. Three seals that although, not powerfull could still severely injure someone. If that man ever wanted a family, then too bad. Not her problem anymore.

She sighed.

Shrouded in Darkness, private [Nhieling] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Shrouded in Darkness, private [Nhieling]   Shrouded in Darkness, private [Nhieling] EmptyFri Feb 25, 2011 5:00 pm

From Akehiko's point of view, she could see this. A tears apart body, with the snow falling around him. Then, suddenly, she heard someone clapping behind her. She turned back, no one. When she looked at Nhieling body, it wasn't here.

Clap, clap, clap... Always this clapping irritating sound.

When he saw her "undress", Nhieling was curious about what she was trying to do, she was up to something. And even through his body was young despite his look (rejuvenation spell ^^), he wasn't dump enough in a snake eyed teenager like herself.
But it was already too late for her to do anything. Nhieling saw her going at his "double", and putting it in piece.
Such scary power through, could have hurt quite a bit... If Nhieling was already observing her doing it 10 meter away.

She wasn't that bad, but just a LOT too arrogant for her own level. If she was living in any other place than here, protected by his family name, she would be long dead now.

Still, Nhieling was quite proud of himself. It took him a few minute to prepare the spell, but he had been able to cast it perfectly. At first he thought she may have sense it, but in the end his sens fooling curse was perfectly working. He was even able to see what she was seeing, a little translucent, but it was enough to control his illusion to the fullest.

Back to what Tsuki could see.

Nhieling reappear, clapping, sating on a tomb. Not bad, I was mistaking about the gut, it seem that in the end your so full of yourself that you don't mind killing at all, really not bad. But as I said, your power as poor... You haven't even master a tenth of the basic witch power. It's sad really. Nhieling yawned.

So... Will you finally show me something interesting? Or you've decided to act as a nice little girl. Don't try to fool me through, you're totally unable to hide your own presence, meaning I can read you like an open book...

Akehiko whirled around to see the man sitting on a tomb, clapping arrogantly. "Not bad, I was mistaking about the gut, it seem that in the end your so full of yourself that you don't mind killing at all, really not bad. But as I said, your power as poor... You haven't even master a tenth of the basic witch power. It's sad really"

"Hypocrite . . ." She spat the word at him. " What are you anyway? You were supposed to be dead. Well, if you were a man you would be dead? Are you hermaphrodite? Gay? Which one is it? Or are you such a Eunuch that you didn't feel that?" She just let the rage consume her and word after word, her never-ending vocabulary of insults was on a roll.

He seemed unperturbed by all of her words, and simply said. "So... Will you finally show me something interesting? Or you've decided to act as a nice little girl. Don't try to fool me through, you're totally unable to hide your own presence, meaning I can read you like an open book..."

"You want me to show you something interesting? I'll show you..." The words seemed to disappear from her mind. The exhaustion of executing all of those spells seemed to catch up to her. "Ugh... seriously I am so busted for letting this as far as this has been..." Her balance seemed to waver, and with each step her eyesight became blurry. With a last breath, she fell down. The snow welcomed her, and created a blanket as she slept.

Nhieling saw her fall.
Maybe I've play a little too much...
Still cautious with this little snake, Nhieling check her with his puppet. Her pulse was here, but weakly. She was exhausted.
Already? She seriously lack training it seem.

Nhieling though of leaving, but with the snow falling she would just die in less than an hour.
It wasn't Nhieling kind to help someone, but... She mad him think of his lost family, sort of.

Baaaah ! Nhieling started leaving. At the moment he was about to get out of the cemetery, he looked behind. He sighed. Then he used his puppet to pick the body, and leave.

Change of scene, they were now in an abandoned building, Akehiko was resting over a mattress.
Nhieling was sating in a dark corner of the room, waiting for her to wake up.

Akehiko Yuuki woke up with heavy breaths. Cold sweat ran down from her forehead. The nightmares were getting harder every time she lost consciousness. They were unbearable. A small light illuminated her area, and she found herself in a new pair of clothes and resting in a dirty mattress. So many questions ambushed her mind. Where was she? What happened?

Yuuki fell down the mattress again, covering her eyes from the light. She almost had no energy left to even walk a few steps. When she tried to remember what had happened, she would suffer from a slight headache and so gave up every time she lost consciousness, to remember what happened before. She sighed. "None of this would have happened if I were stronger." She told herself. No, it wasn't self-pity. It was more like... disappointed? Yes, that was it. Disappointed. She also needed to think things more carefully. If she lost consciousness, that meant that she either miscalculated the situation or had been careless enough to be caught by the enemy. The enemy. "Who did I fight to become so tired and aggravated?"

Nhieling was looking at her, struggling to recover some strength. Sure, Nhieling could infuse her with some of his own energy, but he didn't want to do the same mistake he have done with Tsun.
Since Nhieling wasn't human anymore, his energy had... after effect on human beings, he wasn't against doing some more test, but he wouldn't on something else than an ally.

I guess we'll have to do it the traditional way finally...

Since she wasn't able to replenish her magical energy herself, Nhieling just had to force the process. Drawing his acupuncture needle, he started using it on her central meridians. This work wasn't really long and Nhieling was really used to it, but it always asked him some dreadful concentration. The meridian lines were hard to read, and a small mistake could cause... random effect.
Nhieling was pretty confident about his work thought.

SHe would probably wake up in a few hour, with his energy replenished, but Nhieling was curious about the eventual little aftereffect of such a regeneration, it wouldn't be anything more than a short duration annoyance, but it was the main problem with witches, since each of them draw their power in their own way, treating them require a very good knowing of the subject.
