| The forum won't die as long as there are active members.. another thing to remember is moderation.. a sole admin means that only one person has total control of the forum.. and if they 'die' then so does any chance of the forum.
As long as there is an active group of administration and moderation, then users will always show up.. It helps if key members of the forum are active, even if only for a simple post every few days. They just need confirmation that they're not alone.
If they have the will, there will always be the way.
