I recently came across a Sonic Battle-like game involving the Sonic characters of course. It seems to be a Little Fighter 2 mod, involving Sonic characters. The system may seem complex at first, but it's easy to get used to after awhile. It's an intriguing game, still in its very early betas. I personally enjoy it and hope some others can too, especially if they're a Sonic fan.

The creator of the game has a Youtube channel and also his own website (though there isn't much in it + it's Japanese). I used to be a major Sonic fan, but this came - as well as Sonic Generations may very well get me back into the series. The creator has shown an inspiring amount of talent and I seriously wish him the best, but let's move back onto the game discussion.

It takes place kind of a mix between Sonic Battle, Super Smash Bros. and Little Fighter 2. The last being the base, the first being the sprites and backgrounds (also from the Sonic Advance series) and lastly the middle being what a few items are from.

Some controls during battle include:
F1 = Pause
F2 = Resume only when held down.
F3 = ???
F4 = Return to character select.


The following are playable characters and their discovered move set in the game:

There are also secondary characters playing as support characters that appear when one uses a support trophy.

• Gemel. Appears and propels himself towards an opponent. After doing so for a distance, he stops and then propels himself towards an opponent once again.
  
• Jet the Hawk. I haven't seen what he truly does, all he does for me is stagger than disappear.
  
• Espio the Chameleon. Appears and shoots out numerous shurikens and then finishes off with a large one before disappearing.
  
• Vector the Crocodile. Is spinning as he appears and spins at an opponent, hurting any who he makes contact with. After finishing his attack, he stands still and listens to music before disappearing.
  
• Charmy the Bee. Follows an opponent and stings them before disappearing.

Now there are numerous backgrounds and numerous stages for one to play. So have fun. Are there any particular characters everyone would want as an assist or playable?

Downloaded the game since I love Sonic. I'm so bad at it tho', I keep losing and my team mates are the ones doing all the work!! I use Blaze most of the time!

Has anyone completed any stages?

Jet doesn't stagger, he sneezes. It's a homage to his first attack in Sonic Rider, in which he sneezes at the opponent.

How do you get past the two rock golems? I got up to there by myself with Silver, but ultimately failed.

Oh. Does it do anything?

It only does damage when you're right next to him. I'm not sure how much damage it does since it's only been effective in story mode for me. Also, I've gotten pretty good with using Blaze! Anyone want to connect?

Had great fun with Rose on stage mode. Too bad we both got to the bloody last level and got owned!!! I blame you though! You could've got the checkpoint so we could've revived against the boss!!

Also OMFG, Tails Doll Boss is ARGH.

I beat Tails boss! It was hard tho' and when I say "I", I mean my NPC allies haha. All I done was use Silver and physic blast him whilst everyone else was being my meat shields. Having no drawback after getting hit like Omega is hard!!

Also don't blame me! I didn't realize we had one until we were both almost dead! When I saw it, I tried dashing to it, but got hit by an attack!!!

Don't want to hear your excuses! Shadow's double jump is teleporting, I don't even know how you got stuck in the middle of Eggman which of course killed you.

You always play as Sonic! You should've ran to iiiiit!

Silly Rose, I would have if you kept him distracted, but all your attacks kept missing.
