(FYI, i restarted my character, so all previous missions and rewards are null and void)

Umi was covered up in about thirty layers of clothing, nothing in Magicus Mundus prepared him for the blistering cold that he felt as he passed through Montreal. He and Yoko were searching for a base of operations in an effort to restart a new life in the alternate world of magic. He knew their would be a magic society that lived around in the area, guarded by some secure barrier or something. The hard part would be to find the place, given he no longer had any connections, or allies. So they stopped in a cafe somewhere in the middle of the city, and planned their next move, ever wary of people of passersby that might be looking for them.

"Well, these Anti-Recognition Glasses should be able to keep our identities hidden for now, the Canadian Magic Society is said to meet in Montreal, so this may be a good place to start looking for a base, members and to plan"

Umi took a sip of his frappuccino while sitting with Yoko, while their normally stress filled days were full of running and remaining hidden from society, they were able to spend a nice day in a cafe, with a light dusting of snow on the pavement outside on the streets, if anything they could probably have an amazing day in the town while searching for the Canadian Magic Society.

Yoko, completely opposite of Umi, was wearing very little clothing, so little you would think he was walking down the street. With his Ki, he was perfectly warm and comfortable with it. Without his cumbersome sword, it was easier to blend into the environment. He sat there and talked to Umi about a lot of things, this world was so much easier to deal with, as they were not completely reliant on their magic to achieve things, like in the Magic World.

"If we can find people to join our group, its not like we can find Magister Magi that will just fight for our cause on a whim, like in Magicus Mundus.."

Yoko, to be honest, felt that Umi's former powers were growing out of control at Everlast, his Magic Berserk, the crux that is was, was actually giving him unlimited and uncontrollable boosts to his magic in subtle ways, one of which was mind control. He was not sure how powerful Umi's mind control was, but something about him made it hard for Yoko to think, to argue or even go against his wishes. He theorized that the MRS was also controlled by a similar ability, as every one followed Umi's plan with diligence and passion. Now that he was reincarnated as a Water Spirit, and brought back to Vetus Mundus, his abilities were gone and he was free of his curse, aside from his rare moments of utter madness

Umi continued to sit and chat with Yoko for another hour or so until they left the cafe and went about investigating the Canadian Magic Society. Using ESP, Umi gathered his senses and tried to figure out where the location to the base was. With this "sixth" sense Umi was able to pick up on a colossal barrier surrounding a village maybe a few miles away from the main streets of Montreal. Unlike in the magical world, Umi and Yoko could not take a broom of use Ki to get to their destination, but they had take a taxi, costing them numerous dollars they did not really have. They spent all the money they had on the taxi ride and made their way to the village.

"Remember not to take off your glasses, were wanted criminals, if they discover who we are, we are going to have to run alright? No more fighting, we dont have the power to fight off mages anymore, not without a Pactio or group to help us fight"

Approaching the entrance to the village, they remained undercover, using alias and they seemed to make it through to the barrier without incident. Where they were met by two guards manning the front of the barrier

(Hi Umi, i.e. best friend EVAR. Where have you been bro?)

"Whatever you say, just as long as I do the talking, being covert isn't really your thing, "

Yoko approached the two guards, from their garb, he could tell they were mages from the fact they wore were wearing suits, completely out of place in a small village like this, but thankfully, the inhibition magic made it much easier for them to blend in with their environment. Yoko took the lead here, using his skills as a silent loner to keep Umi from giving to much away in his long winded speeches

"Hello, Im Ooyama, and this is Oozara, we are from the Kansai Magic Association in Japan, we are here as ambassadors. Would you mind letting us in?"

"Why have we not heard from Kansai then?"

"It's urgent sir! We need to speak to the leader of the Canadian Magic Association immediately!!"

Umi, understanding what Yoko was trying to do, picked up on the facade and talked like a messenger, using a tone of seriousness and urgency see, he played off Yoko's facade and assured the mages that they needed to be let in immediately. Watching them while they opened the barrier using a complex magic key, Umi wrote it down mentally, just in case he needed it later. Once the barrier was down, Umi and Yoko were escorted in by a few Canadian mages and what appeared to by knights, some form of ministrae Umi theorized.

The inside of the Canadian Magic Association could only be called a magic village, there were several houses and buildings all stacked next to each other. People were walking around in all sorts of odd costumes and decor for a village just outside of Montreal.

"Snazzy..."

Yoko and Umi were lead through the small village towards a very large and somewhat menacing building, one three times the size of the regular mage's houses. Once they passed through the large oak doors of the HQ, Yoko began his mission while Umi continued onwards to meet with the Canadian Magic Association.

"Umm, can i use the restroom? I have to go really badly!"

"Oh. Sure. Right This Way."

One of the mages that were escorting them to the magic association building lead him down another hall, and then another until they came to the restrooms. Entering the door and stall, Yoko took the charm he had out of his pocket. Yoko used his Kya-Aya spell, he created a shikigami double of him that looked and acted exactly as he would and sent it on its way to be his decoy with Umi while Yoko was off covertly investigating things.

Yoko objective's were simple: He needed to sneak away and enter the Canadian Magic Associations restricted areas and take information on various magic and artifacts that Umi needed, as well as find a broker willing to comply with them. The mission itself would be rather difficult to pull off, but Yoko put that out of his thoughts while he watched his decoy take his place outside the bathroom door. He waited a few moments and snuck out the window into the quaint little magic village below.

Umi was placed in a waiting room while his escorts went off to retrieve the leading members of the Magic Association, sitting in the chair staring mindlessly at a wall thinking through his plan. A sort while later the decoy Yoko returned with one of the mages, who promptly left while decoy Yoko sat with Umi, not saying anything.

"I assume all is going well?"

"Vairocana"

Umi could tell that Yoko had programmed his copy to only say 2 words: Vairocana to show that everything was proceeding nicely and to continue the operation and Amitabha if things were turning sour and they needed to leave. Taking the comment as a good sign, Umi continued to sit and wait for their appointment to come. They didnt wait much longer.

"Right this way, we have the leaders of the Canadian magic society inside, but we ask you to remove any weapons or magic artifacts from your person"

"Alright, that"s fine"

He removed his weapons and continued on into the meeting room

"Thank you very much "

Yoko was met with a little resistance once he was outside, but he realized he would need an access key to be able to get into some of the more restricted sections of the headquarters, so after briefly asking around for someone who did have access, he punched them in the face and took the key code. Any good mage kept a barrier up while in in the line of duty, but here in their home base they were just squishy people Yoko could knock out with his fist.

Yoko then made his was over to the library of the society, a large theater packed full of books and knowledge gathered by the canadian mages. And sneaking by while all the other mages were studying, he accessed the restricted section and went about gathering the books and scrolls that Umi had asked for, reading them from a list, he took every tome, journal and manuscript on the subjects he asked for.

"Thats everything except for the restricted information and the pactio broker, i think ill get the broker first, the information i need is guarded by the leaders, so I'll continue with Umi and retrieve that information when they were ready.

"What manner of business do you have today? Mr Oozara?"

"Well, as a messenger from the Kansai Magic Association in Kyoto,Japan, i have been called upon to deliver this message to you by my leader, Aooyama-dono..."

Umi was sitting at a business table around ten other mages, the leaders of the Canadian Magic Association. From using his ESP, Umi could tell they were powerful mages, ones he would not be able to take down without serious help. But luckily, he was not here to kill innocent people, only steal information from them. In particular, they needed to find a pactio broker somewhere, as well as get the secret Arithmetic Magic to use for teleportation, all of which was gonna be a hassle.

"There is a new criminal organization in the works called the Atlas Society trying to bring about the discovery of magic by the populace, Kansai, along with the other Magic Associations, are gathering up mages to send to combat this threat, and we would like to personally escort you to Kansai, we need to leave in less than 24 hours"

"WHAT!? WHY WERE WE NOT INFORMED OF THIS SOONER?

"They began to move recently, because they were based somewhere in Honshu, the Kansai and Kanto Magic Associations were dealing with it. Now they are a serious threat, we need all the help we can get, please sir, this is urgent"

Umi knew they would oblige to help, he could tell the Canadian mages had a rather showoff-y personality, and would do anything to take the credit from another society's mission.

" HAH! Of course we'll help! This sort of thing will make the Canadian Association famous! ALAN get all our forces prepped for combat!"

He could not help but smile as the mages prepared to leave for battle

Yoko continued around the base with his stealth skills. Now that Umi's objective was complete, the mages in the Canadian Magic Society began scrabbling to prepare for battle while Yoko was left to sneak about pretty much unnoticed, so long as he kept away from the armories and storage rooms.

As he was passing through the atrium, he noticed one of the executive members, an older man, maybe 40 or so, pass him by. In order to continue with their final objective, they would need the key that this man possessed in order to retrieve the Teleportation Magic. He was hidden behind a large monument while the mage was passing by, if he was to achieve their goal, he would have to take him out right here. Yoko stepped out from behind the monument and came up to man

"Oh, your Ooyama arent you? What are you doing here?"

"Oozara said we needed on of the keys to the teleportation magic, we're trying to set it up while everyone is out prepping for combat
"

"Why was i not informed via telepathy?"

"They did not have time to sir, so they sent me" Yoko grew a little tense as he would not give him the key.

"Im still gonna need another executive member to request it"

"..... **** this! Zankusho-San!" So much for that facade.

Yoko charged Ki in his hands and released it outward in a fan formation, the bullets scattered and hit the mage dead on with a barrage of missiles, but his barrier blocked all attacks from getting through, it would require an immensely powerful barrier to block out all of Yoko's attacks, something of Umi's caliber.

"That idiot, we were not suppose to engage them directly!"

Umi, having received a message of danger from Yoko's double before it quickly disappeared, made his way to the atrium in order to find Yoko. He was generally ignored on his way up their by the masses of mage's and knights that were scrambling to leave. In the elevator on the way to the top of the building, Umi prepped his barriers to maximum level, producing two equally powerful material and magic reflective walls of rejection magic. After a few minutes the elevator dinged and he walked out of the elevator into the battlefield that was the atrium.

Yoko and the executive mage seemed to have laid waste to most of the fountain and the area surrounding it. Yoko was on the defensive, dodging all of the mage's attacks while he just spammed Sagitta Magica at the guy. Taking the situation into account, he was easily a standard offensive mage, his Sagitta Lucis was standard, but the rate at which he fired them was not. The executive's barriers were all anti-material, perhaps he had prepped them beforehand to combat Umi's own Ki-using bodyguard. Whatever it was, Umi had the advantage now that the Executive was focused on Yoko and his abilities, sneaking up to him might actually be easier than to fight the more skilled mage.

"Spirit boost 100%, Total Ocean Form"

Using his water spirit powers to the maximum level, he was able to turn his body into water and slide along the ground as an amorphous puddle of crystal blue water.

Yoko, who at this point was crouching behind a pillar, was trying to come up with a plan, he was no good at anything other than his Ougi's and it showed, he was not strong enough to take on the executive mage by himself. His sole battle style revolved around his nodachi, he was never taught anything else by his instructor and had just barely started to learn how to use the other skills in the Shinmeiryu style of combat. He knew he was not strong enough to take him on without using a sword, and if he didnt he would inevitably lose the battle. Without much hope, he sought a weapon to use as a makeshift "sword" to fight with, laying in the corner was broom, probably left in the haste of the scramble. Picking it up and surging his Ki through it, Yoko created a weapon to use, and by casting his Kyan spell, he created a defense around him.

"Lets go! Shinmeiryuu Ougi! Raimeiken!"

Yoko stepped out from behind the pillar charged his sword with electrified Ki and ran towards his opponent, knowing he only had one shot at this, and one attack to hopefully brake through the mage's barriers, he charged in recklessly, hoping to pull out a win.

Umi slunk across the ground as a pool of sentient water, to his surprise he was able to completely control this form, normally he would go insane just by having his powers activated. As he slipped along the ground like a slug, he came ever so closer to the executive mage until he was right underneith him, knowing that Yoko was charging into a trap, he would have to break through the barriers in some way, though he did not know how. As he was ready to deal a finishing blow, a liquid claw made of water would suffice at this close of range, he noticed that the man had something attached to his waist on a chain, a marker full of chalk. After a brief moment of thinking, Umi knew what it meant.

"YOKO STOP! WE CAN USE HIM!"

Yoko was unable to hear him as he charged closer, a little enraged by his dark side.

Even though he was only wielding a broom, Yoko felt the darkness inside of him awaken and try to eliminate his target. He was so enraged by his condition that he had not noticed Umi re-materialized into his human and was trying to get Yoko to stop. He slammed his broom into the side of the mage's barriers, true to their nature, they held out against his attack. As he prepped another he was stop by Umi, who knocked the blade away and grabbed Yoko, transferring the madness to him, something that occurred in Umi's initial ritual and connected his spirit to Yoko's, so transferring insanity was easy to do, but dangerous now that Umi's body went out of control.

(Timeskip because im lazy...)

After dealing with Umi's fit of insanity, Yoko sat next to him and the executive mage, who, after some coercion from Yoko while fighting against Umi's spirit form, decided to help them. He was a pactio mage, and could easily seal their energies in a way that would squander their inherit insanity and bring about more positive powers.

"Ready when you are!"

"Yah.....lets do this quick..."

Umi was suffering after insanity spirit pains, hopefully this new pactio would make it easier for him to be able to fight without his body trying to destroy everything in radius. He stood in a circle with Yoko and started to feel the lightheaded-ness he felt when they last created a pactio, sure he kissed Yoko, a lot of times in fact, but this time it meant no more bursts of insanity and rage, and they could live a slightly normal-er life, if they had the will to.

"~PACTIO!~"

"Wow...."

After the particularly "affectionate" kiss he had received during the pactio, Yoko had to sit back a little while and held onto his Pactio card while he studied it's features, unlike his old one, this one had about 3-4 more scars from the last incident they were in, and demonstrated a certain darkness around him, like a black light that surrounded his body, while his new artifact, some sort of chain, had a bright light surrounding it. This time he had hopes that his artifact would be enough to protect and defend Umi, otherwise this entire mission would have been useless.

Remembering his mission, he handed Umi the items he had stolen, a teleportation key a few books on restricted magic and an Archive Interface, something Umi hopefully would put some use. His original missions after all, was to get the teleporter so that they could return to Everlast one more time and retrieve the MRS members still left there.

(No money reward, i just want the Archive Magic...)

"No you idiot! You job was to gather members for our cause! Today you really did not accomplish your mission. Shame on you!"

Hitting Yoko on his head, the pair started to laugh, something they hadnt done in a long time. The executive mage, tired from the amount of energy he had to seal into a pactio card, had passed out next to them. In an odd, sort of turnabout way, they actually did make at least one new ally, but now they had a much more important mission to accomplish, destroying EVERLAST!!!
