Yoko's abilities were starting to falter, even his rage couldnt keep him going for this long, against an opponent like Kannon, he was surely gonna die if he didnt stop him now. Kannon was thinking the same thing, as used his strongest attack to end it right now.

Kannon: Messatsu Zanku Zanmasen!

Yoko: Kakusan Zankosen!

Umi: Accelerat!, Septemdecim Spiritus Undiales Coentes Sagittet Inimicum, Sagitta Magica, Series Undis...Emittam!

Umi evaded the attack sent at him, he hit the ground quickly and got up close to Miroku, who cleaved Umi in two, only for it to disappear into mist. From behind him Umi shot Miroku and activated his delay spell to knock Yakushi back, who was stuck to fast that he was sent sprawling on his back, only to be shot in the head by Umi. His entire body was on fire and his emotions were running high, he needed to finish them now.

The resulting clash left both of them flying backwards, Yoko had a huge gash on his chest, something Umi would need to fix later. He staggered to his feet and grabbed his artifact, wherever Kannon was he needed to finish it. He wandered towards the direction Kannon flew, a little past the row of Torii that lead to the entrance. Yoko was so worn that he didnt realize Kannon was behind him. Kannon, completely out of Ki from his mission and then this battle, came up behind Yoko with his kodachi and aimed to decapitate Yoko. He slashed at Yoko with all his might, only for it too break off on a barrier surrounding Yoko. Umi moved his barrier to protect the weakened Yoko, and took the hit while Yoko turned and killed Kannon with a slash from his Nodachi.

Yoko: Now where's Kokuzo?

Umi finished off Seishi with a gunshot, meaning there quest was almost complete, from what Kannon said, Kokuzo was among them. Wherever he was, Umi couldnt sense him, he surveyed the area on his staff, not the slightest trace of Kokuzo even being there. Umi was hit suddenly with pain from his Magic Berserk, the pain was so intense he thought his insides would explode, he couldnt breath. Wordlessly he chanted his Sanare spell, hoping to assuage the pain. He landed on the ground with the hope of sitting down for a moment, catching his breath, he didnt notice the intense Ki that had suddenly appeared behind him until it was too late, in a second between staggered breath, Umi was struck with the blade of a kodachi three times. Blood erupted from Umi's body, already weakened as it was by the magic pain, he fell to the floor in a pool of his own blood, trying to think of how to heal himself enough to be ok.

Yoko felt the menacing Ki appear behind Umi, he raced after Umi at normal running speed, he only had enough Ki left to maybe use on attack. Yoko found Umi in a horrible state, but was to distracted to see that Kokuzo in an instant, stabbed Yoko through the pectoral part of his chest, Yoko turned to fight his opponent, holding his chest with one hand and holding his sword in the other.

Kokuzo was dirty blond, he was dressed like all the other Buddhas, in a shinmeiryu hakama, but he was on another level from the other guys, he Ki was grotesque, his blades rusted from blood, and his body rittled with scars from previous fights.

Kokuzo: Its called Musou Its eliminates my presence and Ki for an instant, its a technique that the Kekkaishi use to penetrate barriers, but i adapted it to battle.Zanganken-Ni-no-Tachi

Yoko: Zangenken!

Umi was left almost dead, he tried to use a healing spell, but his body was in too much pain to possibly use it. He was close to death and he knew it, he saw Yoko being pummeled around by Kokuzo, the sadistic bastard that chased them everyday of their lives. Yoko would die if he didnt get up, he couldnt let Yoko die, he entrusted himself to Umi or Umi did with Yoko. But what did it matter anymore? Umi was close to death, his cockiness and luck ran out, he wanted to get up, he NEEDED to get up, but he couldnt. He felt kind of empty now, kinda like his body was just a empty shell.

Yoko was in just as tough a spot as Umi, his Ki softened the blow a little bit but the sword blows left huge wounds on his bodies, he probably was going to die. Yoko didnt really care, he finally saw that he had an insurmountable wall in front of him, he couldnt beat this guy, at least not fairly. His entire life he knew that Umi would have his back, but by now Umi was dead. He knew not to arouse suspiscion, but the one time he did it cost him his life.

Kokuzo: Looks like this is the end Takashi! DIE!

Umi felt something he never felt before, the emptiness inside him disappeared for a second, and brought about one last flow of magic power to his body, he used all of it to get himself to move, he stood up, not even able to think anymore and ran to Yoko, he couldnt move his body and couldnt stop himself if he tried, he was running on his dying will. He came close enough to Kokuzo that he got an idea in his head over what to do, as Kokuzo brought his sword down to Yoko's body, Umi intercepted it, the blade went through his body, from his abdominal area straight through, stopping just before Yoko's head.

Umi: Yoko.... FINISH HIM....

Yoko got himself up with everything that he had, his Ki was gone, this next attack would have to finish him off. He picked up his artifact and jumped up, so that he had a clear shot at Kokuzo and swung his sword at him with all the strength he still had, his muscled ached and his hands were numb, but he aimed at Kokuzo's neck with all his might. Kokuzo, unable to remove his sword from Umi, was struck and decapitated, his head rolled away as Yoko hit the floor, unable to move. He knew nobody was gonna save them, so he peacefully closed his eyes and awaited the end.

Idiots, was all Mortimer could think as he entered the chamber. Apparently, Umi and Yoko had gotten into some kind of two man war. The remaining buddahs were easily defeated. Tactically placed shadows over their nose and mouth was all it took to knock the unneccesarily-glorified leaders of the organization. Clearly the standards for leadership had fallen since Umi and Yoko left. Unceremoniously picking up the two former assasins and hefting each over a shoulder.

Mortimer carried the two virtual corpses out of the building and into the waiting sun light. "You two are completely hopeless, and your gonna be suspended for this. Now wake up and lets get back to school"...

Yoko: This is shocking, i thought we left no trace...

Yoko was shocked to find several students had come to rescue them, given the lack of a healer in MRS, they had brought Aboji to heal them, in seconds Yoko was ok, but Umi barely seemed to get any better.

Yoko: Are you okay?

Umi: The sword wounds are healing, but everything else still burns...

Umi could feel his abdominal and other injuries heal and close up from Aboji's healing magic, but inside Umi felt empty, his body was heavier and took more strength to talk of move his hand. Aside from the upper body movement, Umi could move his legs.

Umi: %*@!! What did i do?!

"You burned up your magic core is what you did." Mortimer responded... "Most people can gather a certain amount of magic into themselves over time, sort of like a cup being slowly filled up by water. Mages are then capable of poring out that magical energy into spells and the raw shaping of magic. The magic core is essentially the cup that holds that magical power for you to tap into. However, it lacks the fluidity of normal magic and so when used, it tends not to give as much power as something like magic berserk though its still a pretty good power up. The problem is when its burned up your total capacity to store magical energy is either decreased or if you've absorbed all of it, completely gone..." Mortimer looked up at his fellow MRS members gaucing at him. "What I read it in a textbook..."

Yoko: So what does it mean?

Aboji, still healing the pair, noticed Umi's affliction and went over to investigate, after a few moments of observing Umi, Aboji discovered the cause. He looked over at Yoko

Aboji: Your correct child, The wound you received to your stomach was not severe, but it dealt damage to your spine as well, i believe you are suffering from paralysis. And those wounds on your arms are an sign of severe magic burn.

Magic Berserk is an double edge sword, it forces magic power out of your magical pathways irregularly, because you've been effected by the condition for awhile it did essentially burned away your magical pathways, this kinda of damage is un-curable. Im sorry..you wont use magic ever again.

Umi: **** THIS!, i have to be able to use magic! people need me!

Umi felt backwards, holding his hands to his face to cover his tears, how could he have been so stupid. The Magic Berserk wouldnt have been so severe had he left his life in Magic World, he assumed what he did was right, his hotheaded behavior is what put him in this situation, the entire point of his revenge was worthless. He regretted this trip more than anything, all in one night his life was over, no more missions, no more magic school, no more MRS, no more helping people.

Umi: I-, im sorry Takashi! I didn.. didnt want this to.. to...

*BAKA PUNCH* Mortimers fist collided with UMi's head, leaving the typical anime bump.

"Like we're gonna kick you out just like that!! You made the MRS, and do you really think we'd kick you out of it just because you can't use magic anymore? Half the people in it don't use magic! You can still learn KI for goodness sake! And don't you dare go feeling sorry for yourself (pointing an accusing finger at Umi). You made a f*%$ing mistake and so now you have to F*%$ing live with it, but don't you DARE regret losing your magic. If you keep acting like an idiot then we're not gonna be friends anymore!"

Ian turned around grumpily and walked a few feet away, and then he realized what he had just said. he actualy thought of Umi as a friend!?

Umi: ASSHOLE I cant fight back you know!

Umi tried to sit himself up, struggling with the task. It a couple of attempts, but he was finally able to sit up and look at Mortimer. He tried to call his staff back to him, but forgot he couldnt use magic anymore.

Umi:...But you have a point... I can get over this, someone get my a wheel chair!

Yoko: Here let me help you...

Yoko picked Umi up and carried him in his arms, realizing what he was doing, he dropped him on the floor. Regaining his composure a little bit, he picked him back up again, the UST made the situation unbearable.
