In the Hellas Empire, there was once the prominent Andrius family. It protected the Empress with all its might, and the descendants were peerless with a weapon.

But years ago, tragedy struck the family. The holy sword the were guarding, the family heirloom, the Sanctus Ora, was wrenched from their hands, and was lost to the world, at the cost of Carey Andrews the I's life. The family fell into decline, the mother replacing her husband, and the siblings each going their separate ways...

"%*@!, %*@!, %*@!, it's all my damn fault." William was biting down on his bottom lip in anger, he was running around, hoping to find some clues. There were horrid rumours going around throughout Hellas, yet he still decided to stick his nose in it and look what happened... Ashraeh was captured.

"Tch, they disappeared... where the hell did those guys go!?" William angrily growls, knocking some people over as he dashes through the streets. The assassins who kidnapped her disappeared in an instant. They weren't fast... it was something else. An odd type of magic. Maybe a lost magic? It didn't matter... William had searched the entire commoners place and there were no signs or signals of Ashraeh, meaning she had to be captured in the 'Royal' part of Hellas, having numerous giant castles and buildings of rich status. It would take a massive amount of time to search through that place, he had no choice though. He rushed towards the royal area of Hellas, the mastermind had to be there.

Kairu stood at the entrance to the palace. This was it. His home. The broken place that made most of his horrifyingly lonely childhood. The terrible destitute that nurtured all of Kairu's negative emotions, his self-destructive patterns, and anti-social behaviors. In his childhood, he was best described as a 'raisin in the sun'.

His father died when he was young. No memories had survived, except that of his father's blood splattering over his face the moment he was slain. That day, he knew now, marked the day on ruin for Kairu's family.

With his father suddenly gone, the mother was left to replace him in the army. Leaving the family to fend for themselves, just so they could eat. The sister had amazing healing abilities, forcing her into the medical branch, and the brother had to meet public expectations and join the military.

Kairu was all alone. No one to talk to, or have fun with. He grew up a socially awkward and depressed child. The world was only shades of gray to him. And now, he was here to confront his demons. His mother lay inside, awaiting his arrival.

Arriving in the royal segment of Hellas, he grabs Ashraeh's pactio card and holds it to his head. 'Ashraeh... where are you?' He sends his thoughts over to the girl. No response. He tried summoning her to William, but that was also invalid. In the worst case, she may have died or trapped in a magic cancel-circle. However, that would need blood from the royal family, which was unlikely...

Running through the refined halls, past gargantuan shops and avoiding numerous passerby's, he continued to look for Ashraeh. He was making a ruckus, so he would soon be detected and maybe even attacked by the enemies... but that's what William planned for.

Ashraeh awoke inside a dim place. She noticed that the strange prison that held her was made of some transparent material, like glass. Seeing a pair of figures talking, but the cage was soundproof. And Ashraeh couldn't read lips.

I'll try an spell." reciting her Sagitta Magica spell, she shot forth 17 water disks. They flowed through the glass, or so it seemed. They merged with the glass-like substance, and it actually shrunk.

Ashraeh gasped. She couldn't use her magic! This was a very sophisticated cage! No doubt, summoning via pactio was cu off as well. She had to wait to be rescued.

Being in a foreign place, and such a small cage, she began hyperventilating.

"How do I get out of here?!" She whispered to herself. Scared and alone, she curled into the fetal position, as still as a statue.

Kairu walked away from the palace. He couldn't confront her now. The very idea frightened him, when so shortly before, he had been brimming with courage. It all sapped from his being.

Noticing a boy about his age causing a ruckus, he decided to take his mind off of things and see what was the matter.

William turned at the man who seemed to approach him, even though he was in a rush. "W-what did you do to Ashraeh!?" William growls, as electricity surges out of his gauntlets making his hair stand up on ends. It wasn't the time to waste time, so if this guy pulled any moves on him, he'd have to take action. "Where is she?" He demands an answer. It would seem William mistook Kairu, the first person who walked up to him as one of his enemies.

Kairu noticed the hostility of the boy.

"Hey! What's wrong with you?!" Jumping back as the boy charged him. This is exactly what he need to take his mind off of things.

William stood their, looking at the man, fists still up as a guard just in case. "%*@!, I don't have time for this. If you're not an enemy get away from me! I need to save Ashraeh!" William growls, beginning to run off.

"This could be interesting." Kairu thought. "Hey, boy! Tell me what's going on!" he shouted at the fleeting kid.

"S-stop getting in my way! She's in danger! Ashraeh, I'll save you... dammit, why isn't the artifact telepathy working!?" William angrily punches the nearby wall, a small crater left in its place. He wasn't using full power either. Actually, the kid that was asking about what happened did seem like a student, but William didn't have time to get to know everyone so he wasn't sure and there was no point in asking, it'd make no difference either way.

"Hold on, stop yelling. What's going on?" Kairu calmly asked. Maybe he'd finally be able to take some thought off of his ordeal. This girl, Ashraeh, was missing, apparently. Maybe she was around the city?

"How can you not get it!? My friend, Ashraeh! She has been kidnapped! Ashraeh Pervisum! Don't get in my way any longer!" William begins to run off, dashing up each hill and slope, getting to higher and higher elevated ground. The chances of them holding her captive on one of the lower floors was unlikely with the lesser security guards and enemies, meaning she has to be held in the castles near the top of Hellas. "Let's do this!" William angrily growls, dashing forward until he came across enemies. Men dressed in black, refined suits at that.

"Hey! Don't ignore me!" Kairu shouted at the strange boy as he ran off. "Jackass." Kairu decided he'd go save this girl he was talking about, just so he could see the face on this guy after he'd done it! That would be a sight to see! So Kairu ran off in the same direction as the kid.

"This...this is the Hellas Empire Stronghold! What's he doing in here?"

William rushed up the staircase, seeing from quite a distance away, the little pipsqueak following. "Shundo." He sighs, did this punk want to help or what? Well, he'd be a good distraction or even sacrifice to any guards that come their way. The gate to the castle at the top of the staircase was open. It's like they were literally inviting anyone in. "Alright, Ashraeh... I'm coming to save you." He grits his teeth, bites his bottom lip and literally disappears and then reappears again inside the castle. He had shundoed about 50 meters and now... surrounded by people.

There were numerous people dressed finely dancing to the slow, calming music, however something was odd. Guards. Everywhere, though they were hiding in secrecy. There were six different exits, all surrounded by guards. "Which way do I go...!?" William mutters under his breath irritatingly.

Outside of the cage, Ashraeh could make out what seemed to be a woman. She had dark skin, black hair, and seemed to be getting on in years. She sat up and scooted away from the woman as she approached the barrier.

The woman began to speak, but she still couldn't hear. Then, the woman raised her giant lance, and thrust it into the barrier! But it only cracked a little. But no wit was apparent that this woman wanted to help.

William noted all the paths. Path #1 had six guards, path #2 had 4, path #3 had five, path #4 had 1, path #5 had 2 and path #6 had 3. He noted them all down and decided to go with path #1. "Alright..." He closes his eyes, ready to attack.

Ashraeh scooted back, maybe the woman was going to shatter the barrier.

"Hold on!" The woman said. A few more more impacts, and the barrier would shatter.

"How can you guys all just be so casual when someone's missing?!" William shouts gaining everyone's attention. He had to save Ashraeh. What if she was executed? Killed? Tortured? He wouldn't allow it. He didn't notice Kyle follow him before, so what William was doing was awfully weird.

"Give me Ashraeh back, or else, I'll definitely save her." William shouts heroically. The bodyguards quickly swarmed him-- the ones close to him at least. "Omne Flammans Flamma Purgatus, Domine Extinctionis et Signum Regenerationis, in Mea Manu Ens Inimicum Edat! Flagrantia Rubicans Quinculmen!" William shouts, creating a narrow stream of burning flames splitting it into five lesser beams of flames with lesser strength to take down the bodyguards. Seems they had their own perks too considering the move didn't knock them out.

"Body reinforcement...?" William mumbles unsurely.

William had defeated the soldiers easily. He was a forced to be reckoned with. Allying with Kyle later on, they made their way to Ashraeh's room and successfully saved her. The mysterious woman that had gotten to Ashraeh first wasn't seen, but she was surely mysterious.
