Description
A headband worn over the top of the head with two ears resembling those of a cat or similar animal with large ears protruding from it. The headbands come in a wide variety of sizes, shapes and colors and thus allow a person who fits them to appear as a cat-person, bunny-person or whatever such animal the ears are meant to mimic.
History
Long produced as a fashion statement, costume or disguise, only recently have advances in magical science been made to advance these accessories into useful magical items.
Abilities
These ears are a boon to anyone searching the wilds, treking through dungeons, or needing a bit more information than you already have. By putting these ears on, the wearer gains the benefit of the hearing normally experienced by similar animal-persons. Thus making a fruitless fashion accessory into an enhanced listening device. This effect can be turned on and off usually by squeezing one of the ears lightly but in rare cases, the effects have been known to become permanent by factory defective animal ears becoming embeded into the wearers skull, forever linking the two auditory systems... but having the hearing of a cat or rabbit can't be all bad... right?
