It wasn't long before they were there, it was quite a modest home apparently, though possibly compared to most modern homes outside this town it was quite large. But, Sai would move to open the door and let them in. ”No one is home Saijun” Autumn informed him, Sai nodded and patted her on the head ”You better get some sleep Autumn, it is getting late” she nodded and bade them both good night. Sai lead Aria through, there were quite a few ornaments... everywhere. ”You can stay in my parent's room, they won't be back for quite a while I would assume. I'll see you in the morning”

Larita looked marvelously at all the variety of ornaments, there was an abundance of abnormal yet visually spectacular objects. She wondered how many were crafted with their magic, or did that only apply to weapons? She wasn't sure. But she continued, "Alright, thanks very much." She smiles cheerfully as she enters Sai's parents room, it was extremely neat, however Larita felt quite awkward for taking refuge in it. Especially in a house she's never been in. She proceeded to attempt to go to sleep.

(Bit of a skip, to the next morning!)

Sai and his sister were up early the next morning, Larita would probably notice the smell of cooking downstairs from the parents room. Though, when she entered, there didn't seem to be much there. That is of course until Autumn touched a coin and miraculously a dozen eggs would seem to materialise themselves neatly into a waiting basket. ”Good morning Larita! Do you like eggs?” she would ask with a cheerful smile on her face.

It seemed that Sai himself was quite good at cooking too, he had already prepared most of what seemed to be quite a hearty breakfast for them all, though he was a little busy getting ready to serve it all up just for the three of them. "Morning! Eat up, you are gonna need it today" He would say, gesturing toward the table where he was skilfully carrying quite a few plates full of food.

"A-ah... Thank you both, a lot. Sorry for the intrusion," She says meekly, nodding at Autumn's question. She settled herself down rather nicely, however found it comfortable, yet awkward to intrude so brashly into someone's house. She looks at Autumn, who was obviously enjoying herself. "Are you here, alone?" She inquires, that'd be a sad dilemma if she was.

"Not really, my parents are usually here, I'm not sure where they've got to" Autumn said as she and Sai joined Larita at the table with the rest of the breakfast. "After breakfast I've arranged for one of the elders to meet with us for a bit of a lesson" Sai informed her as he began to eat, Autumn having already started after answering Larita's question.

Larita too began to eat. She was questioning herself on how much she could learn, she wasn't confident. Especially when the magic wasn't great for her as it drained her magic. "Okay, that's great. I wonder what they could teach us..." She sparks up as if she was dazzling ready for the training.

After finishing her breakfast, she gulps a glass of milk down courteously and cleans her own dishes politely. "I'm ready," She smiles sweetly.

”Good! I hope you enjoyed it. You two can go, I'll clean up. I'll see you later Saijuuun!” Autumn says, standing up to take the rest of the plates to start washing. While Sai smiles and waves as he walks to open the door for Larita. ”We had better not keep her waiting” he said, following her out to then lead her toward the centre of the village, where a woman who wouldn't exactly be classified as an elder seemed to be waiting for them.

"I agree, we should always get to places earlier than later!" Larita states, she follows Sai closely as they see the plausible instructor. "Will you be teaching us? My name's Larita Rimuru." She politely bows, the woman wasn't as old as Larita expected either, she expected a granny. This woman seemed to be in her thirties, much to Larita's surprise.

The woman nodded with a smile, another thing that wasn't usually expected of 'elders' of any kind. ”My name is Winter, Saijun, it is good of you to finally show up” she said with something of a smirk, Sai seemed to be on good terms with this elder. ”I assume you have taught Larita here the basics? Liberatio? Sai nodded ”Though, she uses excess magic which quickly drains her, and I am not sure how to help her.” the elder nodded and looked to Larita. ”Show me” while she waited patiently.

((There are four elders, all female. Named after the seasons. When one dies, another younger woman is chosen to replace them. Autumn is still in training and is the youngest ever 'elder' of the clan^^))

“Yes ma’am.” Larita replies, attentively listening to what they had to say about her. They were right, Larita only used her staff in dire situations and it did drain her magic fast, but Sai wasn’t so correct. She had gotten better control to it and adapted to the magical drainage. “Liberatio.” She channels her magic into the flute Sai had crafted for her as it transformed beautifully into a radiating skull-topped staff, which could also be used just like a normal staff. She was confident about her abilities with using this, as she had trained for a while.

Just a few moments before Larita had begun to use the spell, the elders eyes seemed to light up somewhat, though still she watched intently. ”I see.. the reason you seem to drain so much magic is simply because you aren't using enough will power to keep it with you, and you allow surplus energy to escape.. that is what you have to work on Miss Larita, try again, this time, just use your willpower alone to hold all your magic to yourself” she smiled, her eyes going back to normal. She then turned to Sai “I also have a lot to teach you Sai.. I think you are talented enough for some of our more advanced spells” Sai nodded and waited for instruction, and she began to explain. ”Now Sai, you have to channel some of your magic into your eyes... do that while Larita here uses the spell again, and you will see what I mean” Sai nodded, and tried to do what he had been told and he began to see.. white light, particularly around Larita, who was still using her magic... odd... The others would see a dull red glow from Sai's eyes as had happened with the elder's beforehand. "What you are seeing is magical energy, the brighter the light, the more dense it is in that area."

Larita nods at the teachers instructions. "I'll do my best," She speaks, "Liberatio." She forces her will to morph the weapon into the staff, concentrating hard, using her willpower more effectively than when she uses the spell from before. There was a noticeable difference. There were dire situations that when Larita used the spell and it didn't drain her magic, but she understood the reason why. It's because her will was much stronger in those situations when not.

Either way, she didn't want to be an embarrassment, so she made sure to train herself extra hard.

Sai seemed to nod slightly, noting that Larita was actually doing quite well this time. No longer was she being engulfed by the bright light she had been only moments ago, this time, it was much more condensed. The elder seemed to think something similar. "Well done! That is much better. The more you do it the easier it will be. Don't worry" the elder smiled, though there was room for improvement, she felt that this was quite a jump from what she had expected before.

"Well, that was good... hrmm... well actually I can't teach you much more. Unless you also want to learn how to 'see' magic. In fact I think you should. So you can see what I'm talking about." She smiled and allowed Sai to simply watch, though he seemed to be looking around everywhere, it was quite interesting seeing the world like this. "Now, all you must do is will your magical essense into your eyes, it might sound strange, but if it works, you can actually 'see' magic. Which would otherwise be invisible, Sai, when she is ready, use liberatio as a demonstration" the elder ordered, he snapped out of trance and nodded, readying his sword.

"I'll try..." She concentrates her magic into her eyes, but... something went wrong. Her eyes brightly shone a iridescent that morphed into blue as a wave of flowing symbols appear from her eyes. She cancels the magical concentration to her eyes, with a high-pitched scream, she crashes onto the floor with blood oozing from her eye.

Clutching her eyes, all could be heard was her her sobbing... and with that, Larita had unlocked something from within herself... "It hurts... What do I do..." She mutters.

"Larita!" Sai quickly rushed to her aid, helping her sit up only to notice the blood from her eye.. as well as something else, with the same technique already in use, he could see that even though she had stopped the flow, there was still magic remaining there, which he assumed wasn't good. Though, the elder did nothing... apparently this was up to Sai.

Taking the chance, he would place a palm over her eyes, and slowly but surely her pain would cease as he began sealing the excess away into what would end up being a small golden token with an apparent imprint of what could be Aria if someone looked carefully. ”That was probably a little advanced...” the elder said gently, the power of hindsight...

"Uwaah... it... wasn't the magic..." Larita sobs, showing them her eye. It was completely blood shot, but if they concentrated their magic to their eyes, they'd now see darkness flowing out of it. After being relocated to a hospital bed, she smiled at Sai.

"You know... my name's Larita Rimuru, right...? Well, the Rimuru household is one of the top 5 in the entire magical world. I'm also... a human. There's only a handful of humans in the world, you may be one, it's not odd, but... I ran away from home and my father cast a spell on me that after a certain requirement, I will have a year left to live if I don't return home. I need to return home and the spell is lifted... it's not a curse, it's... I'm not sure what it is... but from this day, I have a single year to come back home. I must do this, even if I leave home after returning, the spell won't come back unless he casts it again, which he wouldn't be able to since he needs to touch me." Larita explains, it may have been a mouthful, but it was all true. She has limited time left, but she had trustworthy friends. Saijun... Umi... Bex... But she didn't want to put a burden onto them, she had to do this by herself. But the Rimuru household has a miniature army because of their riches... she couldn't sneak into the house without getting caught and captured.

Sai did notice this, though the coin he would keep. As the elder told him to stay here while she went to go get help from one of the medical staff. And, they would show up and help take her away to get some help. Sai followed, and Autumn would be informed to show up afterwards, to give Larita a little time to rest.

He listened to her story... there were plenty of questions he had to ask, but he had no idea what to say to such a thing.. how could a father do something like that? ”You know I am willing to help.. but I was wondering.. what was the requirement? Why did it start now” he felt like he had done something wrong. And he had to fix it if he was had anything to do with bringing her here..

"I don't know the requirement... I didn't hear my father incant the spell, the only reason I know all this is because I studied for it. He hired assassination people to capture me... I've almost lost a leg. But, I'll stay strong because I have all you." Larita smiles, checking the date.

"I better go to the school now, they'll complain I'm missing classes. I learnt something too, hehe." Larita says getting up from her hospital bed. She was wobbly at first, but easily adapted to her weaker than usual strength. She used the spell Flowing Symbols to increase her adaptability.

Sai nodded, though still didn't really understand what should be done about this. Instead, he decided he would have to leave as well, knowing that Aria wasn't exactly ready for a trip by herself as well as the fact her father sent Assassins after her, there was no way he was going to leave her alone like that.

As such, he escorted her out of the hospital and towards the exit, only to fell something latch onto his back. "You didn't think you were getting away without saying goodbye Saijun!?" asked his little sister. She let go. "Of course not. I will be back Autumn, it may be a while though" he said, patting her on the head.

"Goodbye, Autumn..." Larita forces a sweet smile trying not to show any weakness. "You really don't have to, Sai..." She slightly blushes at how kind the young man is.

"I'll make sure to visit you whenever I come back," Larita giggles as she turns to Sai, ready to leave. From this day onward, she has roughly 365 days to make it back to her manor or face the consequence of dying.

"Goodbye Miss Larita!" she said with a friendly smile, while she moved to hug her brother one more time before he left. "I promise I'll come back, till next time" he said with a small smile as he let her go, and then turned to leave. "I brought you here so I will take you home, don't worry" he would say outside of the village, he felt somewhat responsible for what had happened, and was determined to fix it.. somehow.
