Unfortunately as Sai removed the magic, the lamp began to stir... then shudder... then shake uncontrollably... it almost looked like the inanimate object was having an epileptic seizure. At last a great flash of green fire burst from the lamp. Smoke billowed out and a great shout of triumph could be heard over the coughing and explosions.

"FREEEEEEE" The voice boomed. As the smoke began to clear the group was able to look up and see a floating green skinned genie. Muscular was putting it lightly. This magical entity was positively ripped. It almost seemed like the only things keeping the bulging muscles of his arms from exploding out were the numerous golden rings around his two limbs.

A ghostly tail trailed behind the fez-wearing genie as it stretched. The crreatures longthin-moustache which framed its mouth swaying slightly as it did so.

If Ryo had looked down he would have seen that the magic h had been sealing materialized into what looked like a very complex puzzle... something which was a cross between two interlocking rings and a rubics-cube. Regardless it was very complicated looking.

"As reward for freeing me, I will grant each of you three wishes" The genie said with a smile... "PSYCH" and then promptly burst out laughing. "Oh my goodness HAHAHA... who... man you guys are dumb. But in all seriousness I'm going to do you all a favor and kill you quickly before I go and incinerate the rest of this plane of existence. Now hold still while I remember how to shoot fire."

The seemingly insane genie already had a ball of green fire in his hand and promptly emitted a massive blast from it. The attack was fairly reminiscent of a flame thrower... except hotter... and deadlier... and faster... and they were dead for sure.

Mortimer managed to drop down as soon as he saw the fireball, but that did not save him from the scouring heat of the cone of flame passing directly over him. The heat itself was burning his coat and he could feel his back start to itch from the attack. He would have cried out in pain had he not been afraid of inhaling a cloud of gray-green smoke.

Mortimers eyes watered and he could barely see, but he knew that there were two exits out of the room. He might be able to inch towards one before the flame over-reaching flame set his skin on fire... but which way could he and his team go to safety?

Seeing the insane genie throw off the green ball of flame, Taurou did his best to backstep and fall to the ground. Unfortunately to no avail when the green fire struck his shoulder. He cried out as his left arm was engulfed in green flames. He fell to the ground trying to pat out the fire that was blistering his already blackened forearm and his shoulder. He rolled his arm in the dirt on the ground and the fire was going out, but then flared up again. He gritted his teeth as it did and hoped the rest of the group had better luck than him.

Sai looked at the magic he had just sealed, and the insane genie he had released while doing so. He had created a puzzle out of the energy, which was strange as he had only ever made weapons.. it seemed that he didn't have control over this magic. But, it seemed like the right idea at the time. As it created it's flamethrower, Sai moved aside quickly... He had a feeling he knew what he had to do, it was a puzzle, he was quite good at puzzles... this was nothing like he had ever seen before though. "STALL HIM" he ordered, moving aside, promptly starting work on the puzzle.

Kagami gave a look of fright as Taurou's shoulder was engulfed in the green flames... She'd managed to dodge so far. But she knew that if it kept building power, one shot from that fire could still seriously hurt her. 'There has to be a way to disable his attack. But how?' She thought to herself.

OOC: Sorry short post. I seem to be losing my muse w/ Kagami here, don't think I can do that many more posts.

Mortimer knew things could not continue or they would all get fried. Calling up eight shadow soldiers Mortiemr had four of them grab the members of the group, all of whom were in varying degrees of distress. Pyoh had his arm burned and Ryo's cloathes were starting to catch fire. Kagami could minimize the damage from the fire using her flaming ki but it wasn't nearly enough and the genies flame had hit her square in the chest. Of the four she may have taken the most damage.

Grasping the wounded party, the shadow soldiers made with the quartet out the door to the right. It was mortimers turn now and if he was going to live he had to make the RIGHT choice. As they ran through the genies fire incinerated their carriers, hence the other four took their deceased minions places and proceeded to carry them down the hall. Every once in a while pitfalls could be heard opening up, but the shadow minions deftly avoided them with the most basic of shundo techniques.

The genies flame could be heard echoing throughout the hall behind them as the green-misty fire gave chase. The hallway seemed to go on forever but at last they reached an open twenty foot by twenty foot, circular area... with no way out. To make matters worse it was at this point that his shadow soldiers began to dissolve. working as fast as he could Mortimer worked to create a wall of shadow before the genie arrived, sealing the only entrance.

At last hi work was done. Slumping down as explosions of fire could be heard from beyond the only way out, Mortimer looked at his other similarly wounded and exhausted comrades.

"So" he gasped, out of breath from manipulating eight soldiers and forming a six foot wall of shadow. "Sai, you got any ideas?"

Sai wasn't exactly hit by the fire, but he still felt the burning flames and how his coat had caught on fire... though that he quickly put out just as one of Mortimer's minions began to move all of them out of the way of the genie. But it wouldn't stop him, the puzzle needed to be completed, for at the moment it was nothing more than a worthless hunk of metal. But as the wall was created he felt a click, and the thing opened, he had solved it. Though, inside was nothing, at least to everyone else's eyes. To his though, there was a dense magic sealed within, which was only released upon solving it. Putting one hand into the now open cube, he would siphon out this magic... it may be the exact thing they needed.

”This... This magic can seal him again, I'm sure of it. But, when it's done, I need you all to distract it. I won't be able to do it alone.” he said, sounding quite serious. If he did this right, the genie would be sealed away within' the weapon he creates, but this time, there would be no escape.

"Good plan Sai! Good plan!... Just one small problem with it however... The second I dissipate this wall he's going to fill the place with his flames. In a place like this with nowhere for the air to escape we'll al be fried in an instant. What's more, I'm exhausted Kagami can barely move, Taurou can barely move his arm and on top of it all regardless of what we do that genie is going to blast through my shadows in a little over five minutes. So you'll excuse me if I don't Jump for Joy!" The last words were delivered with a particular venom in them.

Mortimer was clearly on edge and all of this was getting to him. He didn't have much magic left and the prospect of the four of them dying was very real now. The worst part of it all was that they were going to die and it would be his fault. And even worse he didn't have a plan. He always had a plan. An alternative, a means of getting himself and those around him out of a bad situation... this time was different. He had no plan, no alternative and under the preassure (both literal and metaphorical) he couldn't think of one.

If all of them were somehow ten times stronger or better prepaired they might have a chance. But they were in bad shape and had taken too much damage thus far to be much good. Mortimer was running on empty, there wasn't much he could do. Taurou had one good arm but that pretty much eliminated half his power. What's more with his low stamina he might not survive even one attack. Kagami was down for the count, breathing shallowly as she lay flat on the floor. She wouldn't die from this being a vampire but it had got to hurt her like hell to even breath now. Mortimer was uncertain how well she would recover from this and wondered if at the very least she could produce a bolt of flaming ki... no that wasn't an option. She was in too bad of shape to breath let alone fire her ki off. And then there was Sai. Sealing the genies magic like he did might have stopped it... if he had managed to figure out the puzzle before it started throwing fire at them. But now it had remembered and could attack them at any time.

Mortimer knocked his head against the wall behind him in futility. Looking over he saw the trinkets Sai carried. A bow a dagger, a sword, all of them weapons made from sealed pow-. In that moment Mortimer knew one way they could obtain maybe enough strength fast enough to face the genie. "Sai... i have a plan and I can understand your trepidation if you have it. But right now I need you to seal the power we have left in weapons we can use against that genie. If possible I need you to make these weapons as fast as possible, or teach us how to form them or SOMETHING. We just need your weapons and we need them now!"

Sai's eyes seemed to be getting slightly brighter, the magic in the room seemed to be getting thicker... He looked to Mortimer looking quite demonic at this point. He knew very well that they had a slim chance here, but he had no other ideas at the time. The weapon he had begun now taking form, a curved dagger it would seem. Meanwhile he looked to the others. ”Ok fine” he said, holding the dagger in his belt as he moved over to Pyoh to begin with suddenly grabbing his good arm, he would feel a draining sensation, as Sai created yet another weapon, this time a long spear. Though these weapons seemed to be created a lot faster than the dagger, he was rushing it seemed.. breathing heavily as he handed Pyoh his spear. From here he would move on to the others...

-Skip a few minutes XP-

When he was done, each of the others had their own weapon, Kagami would receive what looked like a sword, with a chainsaw inside it, a trigger on the handle to start it. While Mortimer would receive a hand-gun, its ammunition was made purely from his own magic. Sai looked quite tired after the whole thing. ”Liberatio, it will release the magic and give you a temporary boost of stamina and the weapon will become stronger... if you let the release revert into it's sealed form while you fight, you WILL fall unconsious.. ok? he explained.

Taurou was breathing heavily now, but the fire went out on his arm, so that was a good sign. He wasn't going to be engulfed in flames, and he was grateful for that. He grasped the spear with a desperate grip and looked around. Everyone had their own unique weapons. He tried moving the arm that was engulfed in flames moments earlier and couldn't do it without it hurting like hell.

OK, he said in a raged-like voice, are we really going to-

At that the genie from hell broke through the wall they were hiding behind. It looked like it was having fun hunting them. The members of the party all backed away from the attack. Taurou looked around to the group and bit his lip as he stood. He did his best to not fall, and held his newly formed spear in a fighting position.

This might not end well.. He said more to himself than to anyone. He stepped forward and stabbed at the genie waiting for his companions to launch their attacks.

Hugging the side of the wall that the newly formed entrance was now on, Mortimer held the gun level. He'd never actually held a gun before but he'd seen how they were held in movies and television and he thought he had a pretty good idea of how to hold it. Mortimer began firing at the thing, practicaly aiming high to avoid hitting Taurou. He thought that he hit it a few times but he couldn't be sure. The shots the gun fired seemed like compressed saggitta magica shots but Mortimer couldn't be certain. There seemed to be no absolutes at this point either. Did he hit, didn't he hit? it was all too much. And so he continued firing trying to empty a clip that wouldn't run out unless he did.

Taurou's initial attack had been ineffective. The large muscular genie had grabbed the spear tip as it thrust at him and seemed to be trying to burn it with his flaming grip. The spear wouldn't give out like that though. It was a tangible manifestation of Taurou's lightning and so would not burn like anormal spear. However if Taurou did not move or act quickly the genies flames would only reach down the spear and harm him even more. If he had another arm he might have yanked the spear out of the genies grasp but as things stood, Taurou was about to take another hit.

Mortimers shots had not gone unnoticed by the genie. Apparently some might have hit him because with he lifted his right arm in Mortimers direction and shot another "magical flame thrower" blast. Mortimer tried to draw up a shadow but couldn't solidify it in time and wound up taking the blast full force. Doubling over in pain at the blast Mortimer coughed feeling his clothes and parts of his skin aflame. Goodness it was painful but he would live. He'd had worse than this and survived. But mortimer also had enough experience to know that he wouldn't be back up again for a while.

With the genies left arm occupied by Taurou's spear and his right arm set to an "over the shoulder" shot at Mortimer Sai should have had a clean shot... key words here being "should have". Shutting its eyes and breathing in deeply through his nose, the genies cheeks expanded as if he were inflating them. Suddenly opening them the genie shot a stream of fire from both his eyes and his mouth at Sai. The sealer would need to act quickly if he were to avoid such an attack.

Cursing vehemently as his spear was catching fire, Taurou was struggling against the genie's grip to break free. The flames were creeping along the spear, and he thought of something just as the fire was about to scorch his other arm.

Komakai he muttered and the spear's length dissipated into a small figurine form of itself. He grasped it and stepped backwards just as the flames' heat was scorching his fingers. He looked in his hand and looked back to the genie. Ooinaru he said and the spear regained its former length and weight. Taurou nodded his approval at the features the spear could be used for. He swung it around with his good arm once more to get his arm readjusted to its weight and tried to remember the incantation Sai had told him to give him a stamina boost.

The genie was engaging his teammates as he thought and thought. Just as the genie was getting an interest in him again, he remembered and his eyes widened. Liberatio! He called out and he felt a surge of energy pass over him and felt his fatigue wash away.

Sai didn't seem to flinch at the genies attack, even as it began to charge it. Instead, he continued forward, with no intention of dodging. ”Liberatio!” As he did so, the small dagger he had created, turning into a katar. The flames issuing forth towards him seemed to be drawn into it, saving Sai the damage it would of caused otherwise. Now without anything to stop him, he would stab the blade of the katar through the genie, who could do nothing as it suddenly stopped and literally sucked him into the blade itself. Sealing him forever.

”... It's over” he said, the blade turning back into the dagger from before. He decided that he would keep it, to make sure that the genie would never be able to get out of it again...
