Jess found herself within giant William's hands... She knew this must be a dream. But she figured she might as well have some fun with it, because this time William was acting like the fire mage she knew... "William... Tell me. What exactly did Kagami do to you, that undead troublemaker..."

[William, I have somethign special planned for this... It is a warning about William having many people locked up inside of him, not that Jess knows that... If a new personality takes over, William will change shape to look more like that person did when they were alive. At least that's what I have in mind, you decide if that is what you want to do.]

Nhieling was passing the night into everlast ruin, as ever, waiting for time to pass.

How was it since he had sleep for the last time? He couldn't remember. In could sleep, it wasn't impossible to him, but as he didn't fell the need he just avoid it. The dream world was dangerous for him.
Starting to relax, as he learned to do in the past, he let his mind flow out of his body into the "intra-world"

The "intra-world" were a dimension where neither time or space existed, it was the void zone between each living thing mind. There were many way to proceed into it, the first one were meditation, mage could also enter it through magical ritual easily. This two way were the only way to control your mind when moving into this dimension. But each living creature on earth knew how to get here, because the easiest way, the natural one, to get here was dreams.
A lot of people felt in the reality that they had already see something. The explanation is simple, while traveling into the intra-world, time was nothing, the future could be unfold with the right ability. Future seeing, mind reading, all this ability were coming from this link between the mind of every living thing.

Nhieling, on the defensive, started to look around, after a few sec, he started to relax. Sloth, one of the seven disciple of Zieref, was nowhere to be seen.
Then Nhieling started letting his soul flow into the void, crossing path with the mind of animal human, and thing that didn't exist in this dimension. When sleeping, the mind of people were too deeply connected with this dimension, and their mind was easier to enter than when they were awake.

Suddently Nhieling mind got sucked into someone mind. Ready to kill Nhieling nearly severed the head of Jess, the strange giant women he had already seen once.

Oups, sorry. I thought it were someone else. Oh, nice dream, a little strange, but not bad, for once it's not one of the eternal porno dream we encounter when traveling through the intra-world...

Jess suddenly sensed a blade coming very close, reflexively making her fist hard as stone and knocking it away... Now both she and this fellow were in William's hands... "Oh! Nheiling... Is that really you or is this just another part of my 'weird' dream... If it's really you I want some proof."

If i pierce you and sucked your soul out, will it do? answered Nhieling with a cynical smile?

[Anyway lets get back to RP now that we know what we'll do.]

Jess gave a very scared face... That combined with the PJs she had on and her incredible height made a very comedic effect. "Ok, I know that's gotta be you... Whatcha doing in my mind anyway?" She now looked somewhat defensive, as if she might try to attack him if he answered wrong.

"Your mind, what are you doing in my mind?" Mortimer asked as he got up from the couch he had been sleeping on wearing his pants and dress shirt (though not his coat). Apparently he had been dreaming that he was asleep... weird. but now he was somehow standing next to Jess and he could feel Nhielings pressance. Quite simply, he couldn't figure out WHAT was going on.

Jess gave a confused look at the appearance of Mortimer... And what he said only confused her even more. "Something tells me someone besides the three of us is doing things to us..." She had that gut feeling, and she knew it was generally best to trust her instincts. "In any case I did not wish for this invasion of my privacy to happen, and I seek to end it."

That got Jess thinking. "Hmm... You got a good point there... Maybe fate wants us to help each other in some way." She looked at Mortimer and Nheiling... "But how? All I know of is... This stupid curse upon me. At least in a dream that can be changed temporarily..." And she shrank down to about 5' 4" as she said that. What she wasn't admitting was her unrequited love of William.

With a little laugh, Nhieling lean forward Jess and ask gently :just faintly enough for not being heard by Mortimer : I won't be inquiring, but if you want your feeling toward William to stay private, I would change the decor.

As he said this, he show Jess that the hand were still visible, and it was easy to say if you look closely to your surrounding that it was William one.

If you don't know how to do, just empty your mind and we'll be send to the index of your mind. It's the place that is at the center of your mind, and connect each zone between them.

"Whoa whoa wait. If you guys hadn't noticed technically this is still partly my mind too" Mortimer says as he indicates the stereotypical scary graveyard behind him.

"If you start reformatting your brain I don't know what affect it'll have on mine... and vice versa. I think what we need to focus on is first getting your room out of my graveyard, or getting my graveyard out of your room... so what's it going to be?"

As he said this Mortimer thought about the curse which afflicted Jess. It seemed to be an increase in body mass more than anything. He couldn't really see how it was a curse actually. It seemed like a normal bodily enhancement spell gone into overdrive. In her dream Mortimer could see the physiological whereabouts on Jess, clinging to her minds body despite her apparent change in size... a psychosomatic spell maybe?

"Thats my mind... I spent a lot of time in a graveyard when I was little and so my head looks like this as a result. What about you Nhieling, or you Jess, tell me your brain doesn't represent some important place or old home?"

Jess's area soon turned into an empty beach with a rocky cliff not too far off in the distance... Including an entryway Jess had clearly carved herself using earth magic... "Always came to this empty part of the beach when I needed time alone or time to think... I dunno, Just helped me clear my mind..." She snickered. This was so awkward, yet... She couldn't help but to laugh at how awkward it was. "So... Now what?"

The area was strange... almost surreal. A half moon rose in a darkened expanse on one side, while a bright sun and blue sky rose on the other. Mysterious fog intermingle with white clouds and soft grassy soil intermingled with clean sand.

But this strange juxtaposition was not to last, Mortimer could see the fusion beginning. The fog was begging to drift into the beach and the white clouds floated into the night sky.

Mortimer could see the sand growing, changing the soil of his own mind to silt, as the grass sprouted up on Jess's pristine beach.

Then the worst thing of all appeared. Rising out of the graves were zombies. Mortimer had been made to put them down every night hating the fruitless task. Unfortunately these were not ordinary zombies. They were his grandfather.

Mortimers eyes widened at this sight as he backed away in horror. One could literally see him shivering as the three zombified -imitations of his grandfather strode forward as typical zombies did. It so terrified Mortimer that he tripped falling back into a crab like position as he attempted to scurry away in the grassy sand.

Of all the terrifying things Mortimer had faced, rogue illusionists, dragons, water demons, undead horrors, nightwalkers, vampires, skeletons, evil genies and Umi... he was more terrified of his grandfather than anything.

Mortimer backed away from them as much as he could. He couldn't stop them. Nobody could stop them, and only Mortimer knew what would come next. He was so terrified he didn't even try and see what the other two were doing during all this.

"What in bloody hell?!" Jess screamed. Even she was frightened to the core, even though she tried to appear as if she wasn't it was still obvious. And she was not the sort to scare easily. Nor were she normally the sort to cuss as she got into a defensive stance. If those zombies even tried she'd put up an earth wall... But as the grass and sand intermingled she returned to her usual height of 9' 10". She hadn't been expecting this change in height and it threw her off somewhat in terms of tactics. Only momentarily, but that moment was enough that she started to panic...

OOC; Warning.... just... warning

The three grandfather zombies advanced until they surrounded him. And then.... they began.

"What's this then you lazy scum" the first said as it kicked Mortimer in the ribs. A noxious scent emminatted from his maw of missing and rotted teeth. He spoke with a stereotypical welsh accentthough it was condescending and nasally " get up and kill these things before I throw you in a grave" he punctuated this with a sharp stomp to the shoulder.

"What is the slothful little creeten sad then?" the second zombie taunted "No mummy and daddy to call him home and make him sadwiches?" the zombie man spat on the cowering Mortimer, his saliva acting like acid burning Mortimers skin.

"Think you're good enough togo to some fancy school" the third one said ripping up a piece of paper. "Listen ere, ya bleedin wanker. You were born in this place, and you'll die ere to. Ya ere me ya stupid git. No one leaves this place without MY sayso."

"So you think you can andle a cat eh?" the first one was now holding a cat... a kitten in fact. "Fat lot a good a dead cat'll do yah" the zombie grandfather laughed as he snapped the cats neck. It fell on the now fetal Mortimer and began clawing him. Its skin had become fetid and bubbles of puss and boils had grown on it instantaneously. The zombie cat continued to scratch and bite at Mortimer.

"You. Stupid. IDIOT!" Hitting Mortimer with a cane at the end of each word. He pounded upon the now much smaller seeming shadow mage. "You sleep for three HOURS and Yah think you deserve more. Wake up already or yer hide gets put on me wall!" The second zombie began beating Mortimer even more ferociously.

"It's cabage stew again tonight boy'o" The third Zombie seemed to pour a pot of mixed greens and boiling water over the steadily shuddering Mortimer. The slimy greens poured over Mortimer, burning his skin and making him wail.

"Time ta go slay em again ya lazy git" The first one spoke again kicking Mortimer yet again. "An make sure they're all in the graves proper this time or I mount yer hide! And don't come whinein to me about the "scrapes" or the "bruises" or the "fevers". I've lived ere fifty years an lived trough all o'dat rubbish."

And on this went. Mortimer reliving all the old traumas his grandfather once caused.

Jess didn't know what to do. She felt desperate to help the poor fellow, but somehow knew there was nothing she could do. She'd had to get along without her parents, but an abusive Gramps on top of that? Now she was beginning to understand part of the way Mortimer behaved as she weeped for him. "Stop it! Stop! Stop!" She finally screamed, kneeling.

You can't interact with someone else dream Jess. Even through being into his mind, Mortimer will have to fight his own trauma himself. Even through we could being hurt, as long as Mortimer don't incorporate us into his dream, there is no possibility for us to intervene. But in the case of a nightmare it's extremely hard for someone to do it. Fear will take control of his mind.

Then Nhieling just sat and watched.

If this last too long, I'll just rip you apart from this mixed mind and send you to mine, but I don't know if it wouldn't even accelerated the process of fusion.
Saying it loud enough for Mortimer to hear : It's up to your choice, if you leave this place now it may swallowed you later.

Mortimer wanted to leave, he truly did. But he couldn't. As he lay there curled up in a ball he seemed to have regressed to a child again as he suffered his Grandfathers abuse. He had been trapped there in that graveyard his whole life, unable to escape or run or do anything really. All he could do was whatever his grandfather told him... just do what he said and the beatings wouldn't be so bad. Just stay there, unmoving, unresponsive, and let the blows fall until he fell asleep...

Deep inside his inner mind, something stirred in Mortimer. That thing which he had suppressed so long. It was not a foriegn thing, something passed down through a bloodline or even entered his body early. It was not a demon, an alien or some strange entity... it was Mortimer. And so, Mortimer drew it out, letting it grow and fester. The red light grew and grew, until it began burning... and then he knew what it was.

Hatred. Burning inside of him he felt it. Rage pure and unadulterated. Hate, loathing, furry and rauscous growling. Visceral and primal it blossomed forth. There it was, true hate, directed at a true enemy. It was not the hatred born out of ignorance and false ideas. That was not true hate, only an extension of fear.

This was hatred born from a wrong... a wrong which had to be righted. And so, Mortimer let it be so. Rising up Mortimer drew his sword from the cane and stabbed his grandfather in the heart. There was only one now. A feeble old man, blood coming out of his chest and spraying onto Mortimers anger riddled face. Mortimer looked like a man possessed... but he was not... this was him... this was all his hatred flowing out. He twisted the blade, again and again, drawing it out and stabbing back in, over and over.

He performed this act over and over, more blood leaving the near-dead body of his grandfather each time. He let it all out that night. He stabbed his grandfathers corpse again and again until the lifeless body was nothing more than a hunk of dead flesh... Like a poorly sliced hunk at a butchers shop. And when it was done... Mortimer was empty. It was gone. It was all gone. Without thinking, he took his grandfathers old coat off the hanger. Black, tattered and oversized it was as good as any other. Without looking back or taking anything, Mortimer left the messy shack behind. Knocking over a few tombstones as he went, just to test that his anger was truly no more.

That day, Mortimer got on the bus and slept... he knew where it was heading... and he would sleep until he got there... and then sleep some more.............................


All of this was played out before Jess and Nhieling as Mortimer stepped off the bus, back to Jess's dream. The graveyard had faded now, and the only thing which remained of Mortimers dream was the shadow mage himself.

"I'm...sorry you had to see that" What they had just seen was Mortimers story before he left for Everlast. Now in the peacefulness of Jess's dream, Mortimer covered in the black coat and his grandfathers dream-blood, the shadowmancer couldn't help but wonder what was going to happen next.

I won't judge you, my past is far from being clean, and I understand your hate a lot better than you think, even if I never been in this situation myself. I can even show you something interesting.

Then Nhieling snapped his finger and a way to his own mind opened.

Just follow me, I have some interesting thing to show you.
And then Nhieling entered the portal leading to his mind.

Jess covered her eyes when she knew that there would be blood spilt, only uncovering them when she knew things would be safe... Though she'd stood the sight of blood before, seeing this scene was just torture to her... And then Nheiling wanted them to follow him into his mind... She sighed, following reluctantly. "Ok, But there are also some things about my life I believe you should see once this is over."

Oh? Said Nhieling, snaping his finger once more to make disappear the way. I was wondering if you would let us an access to your memory as you seemed secret. Fine by me, i'm not especially in the urge of showing you what I wanted, but instead I'm deeply curious
