Thanks to Mortimer's information, they were told that there might be a lead at the ruins though Kagami, Taurou and Sai cleaned them out a while back. Since the two of them has no other lead than this, there was no other choice but to try hopefully being able to find something worthwhile like Mortimer said.

The broad front door was wide open, at least three feet thick, it would have been difficult to get through had it not already been open.

Before Daisuke and his twin was a long darkset of stairs. Were they continue down them they would find a massive chamber rouchgly half the size of a football stadium lit by glowing green torches.

Then again there was always the option to turn back as well. This may have been the last chance for the twins to do so.

The two of them just stared into the chamber "...Nothing to do here though...Did we make a wrong turn I wonder?" THey turned back and tried another pathway. Since this place was already cleared, they should be safe to look around probally "I wonder what can we even find here anyways... seems like every thing is already a ruin" Daisuke said but then Ryousuke explained to him "That's why it's called a ruin..."

[Is there going to be any action here or just plain walking around by the way...?]

As the two made their way up the stairs back the way they had come they found the door ominously shut.

It appeared that the stairs only lead one way down to the gigantic ante-chamber and backup to the surface.

As the boys approached the shut door a figure wreathed in green flame appeared behind them. "I am the guardian of this place. If you seek the treasure of this place you must pass its trials. I will help you on this journey, you may summon me four times by saying my name and I will answer any question you have with a yes or a no. If you summon me a fifth time I will attack and kill you... my name is Noe." Following his cryptic explanatio the man dissapeared as quickly as he came.

It was as he dissapeared this that the stairs literally dropped out from under them. The floor was dropping out and the boys would have to think fast if they din't want to fall with the rest of the steps.

Daisuke was quite blurred about this and was off guard while staring at the guardian so he didn't noticed the movement of the ground. Ryousuke quickly grab tightly onto Daisuke and ran down the step of stairs dragging Daisuke from behind "WAHHHH !!!" They were about to miss a few more steps but managed to reach the safe point in the end "Phew that was crazy!" Ryousuke said as after he catched some of his breathe and sighed. Daisuke was fine since he was dragged by Ryousuke all the way... "So now where are we...?" They thought as they observed their current location and surroundings and it was odd that there was a guardian here though thinking "Wasn't this placed already cleared?" But in their current situation they just decided to simply explore around.

In their explorations the two boys discovered multiple doorways scattered throughout the room. Most are locked and don't seem like they can be opened but two doors inparticular seem feesable. On the left is a door with sounds of metal clanging against metal and the whirring of steal. On the right side is a door where shuffling can be heard as well as ominous moans.

Unbeknownst to the boys there is treausre beyond the paths if they are willing to go through the trials. But what kind of treasure one cannot expect. Surely if the guardian was still here there must be something left to guard... right?

Both of them had a stop at the seperating paths seems like they only had two ways to go but which one will they go through? Daisuke decided to take the path on the left and Ryousuke agreed to take the path on the right. They told each other"If there's anything, contact me through telepathy" Daisuke and Ryousuke faced towards both paths planning on taking one for each but before that they used their tactics to scan what's ahead by using 2 Sagitta Magica of light on each path so receive the information of what's inside. They stood at the same position for some time while they control the Sagitta Magica to observe the insides of both paths. They both summoned 2 doppels as well to watch their back while they were busy.

The light traveled through the right passage at a slow pace. Stone coffins lined the walls and there seemed to be a ladder at the end of it.

On the left side only flashes appeared. Narrow gaps and slits dotted the walls floors and cielings of the room.

As the light on the right side came to an end, the green torches flared and the coffins slid open. Stepping out came a dozen skeletons dressed in full viking battle garb, armed to the teeth. They formed a phalanx and began a steady yet powerful advance towards the twin who remained outside the right door. If something was not done, they would kill them both.

The left passage remained eerily quiet, unmoving and unchanging... apparently.

[phalanx and bega ?? Please don't use hard word cause I am kind of slow...]

Seems like the right path wasn't a dead end but why was there a dozen[12?] of skeletons suddenly appearing ?! Ryousuke quickly sents the Sagitta Magica of light attacking those skeleton and it's a good thing those were light Sagitta Magica as it has a holy effect towards the undeads. On Daisuke's side, seems like there's nothing suspicious on the left side and it was a dead end so he left it to vanish. Daisuke was told to get ready for battle all of the sudden seeing as Ryousuke was summons light Sagitta Magica as well as having his 2 doppels ahead to fight against the skeletons in their slicer blade forms. Seems like using a holy attack was the most active to petrify the skeletons so Daisuke help out as well by sending his doppels ahead.

[Srry, meant Began not Bega... but Phalanx is right... look it up and expand your vocabulary ]

Holy attacks did seem to work.... so long as they were direct hits. Two of the green-flame infused skeletons were destroyed but that still left ten more charging. In unison they swung through the two doppels and charged, some of them throwing axes and spears only to draw more weapons and continue to charge.

The skeletons would soon be through the door and then an open battle in the ante-chamber would ensue. What could the doppleganger brothers do against such overwhelming numbers?

Now there are 4 doppels fighting against the remaining 10 skeleton, the weapons that was being throw were all worn-out so i was easily broken. The doppel and skeletons kept continueing their battle and Ryousuke came in with 20 light Sagitta Magica around him but some of it were actually Daisuke's... "Disapper" Ryou said as he placed his palm facing towards the skeletons. All the doppels ran out of the way quickly! This somehow cause an explosion since Daisuke couldn't see where he was aiming as Ryou was blocking his view and it was like a grenade combine with a flashbang... "Did it work?" Daisuke asked since he couldn't see but yeah it worked though the explosion caused alot of smoke. Since Daisuke was blocking the Ryou by standing behind of him, Ryou couldn't run out so he end up having his body full of dust... Daisuke gets a lecture and they both started argueing... The doppels were just staring at them looking like this:

The attack had indeed destroyed the phalanx of skeletons, but now the boys had a decision to make. Would the go up the ladder through the trap door, or down the ladder through the hole in the floor.

They had to choose soon as although it may have been imperceptable the bone dust on the ground was begining to move.

The saw a two way ladder, going either up or down. Daisuke thought this is where they would have to split but Ryousuke said it'd be safer to go up and he got his reasons to why he chose up. They saw the bone dust moving slightly and it wasn't the time to think much so they went with Ryou's plan in the end by going up. "Let's go!" They both quickly climbed up the ladder to a one-way passage cuntinueing the way to another place. Where shall it be and what shall they encounter this time?

Eventually the two came to a largely empty room, circular and high up. In the center of the room sat a massive ancient stone golem. It was at least twenty feet high with carefully crafted features, almost like those found in the old hebrew-golems (before modern ones took their place).

As the twins stepped in the behemoth sprang to life. A massive hammer in its stony hand. Not that it really needed it though. Its hands were already massive enough. A large glowing key hung around the giants neckAnd from what the boys could see, the door on the far side of the room had a conspicuously large keyhole with which the 2-ft key might fit.

The problem would be getting past the golem... and his gigantic hammer which was swinging down at them. The Hallway that they had come from had seemingly closed behind them. It would take the giant only two strides to cross from the center of the room to the other end, but to the boys, it would be like running a football field.

Could they avoid the hammer, get the key and get out of this deathtrap in time?

He grabs onto the keys and used his right leg once again to make a step on the golem and jumps back far away. Daisuke wanted to continue attracting the golem but while he was at that, he threw the key to Ryou to open the door. The Golem was not going to make it that easy for the boys. Hurling its giant hammer at the door, the stone weapon broke into rubble. Even if Ryou wasn't crushed by the hammer, the doorway was now blocked by the remains of the hammer.

The giant golem himself was not happy at the boys actions and proceeded to Swat at Daisuke. With its massive hand moving at its great speed it would be nearly impossible for the boy to dodge this attack. What would he do?

Since there were rubbles of the destroyed hammer at the door, Ryou had to quickly get it out of the way and fast. He transformed his arms into hammer form hitting those rubbles away if it's too huge, he would just destroy it to become smaller and size to hit it away easily. Daisuke was seemingly in a trouble situation as every each move he tries to dodge, it wasn't easy so he used another way. Hang onto the golem it was! While Daisuke is on the golem, he was saying "Quit being so persistent!" as he tries to blind the golem by covering it's eyes with his hands and tries to restrain the golems movement alittle by having his legs taking the form of chains binding up the golem's hands and legs.

Ryousuke was still trying to remove the rubble but given its great size that seemed to be a herculean task.

"I Will when you to stop jumping around!" The golem cried as it made to grip Daisuke and rip him off.

The golem could speak?! What would Daisuke do with this new information?

They were pretty speechless with a surprised expression on their faces.. "YOU COULD TALK?!" The golem tried to rip Daisuke off but he was somehow rubber-ish? Then a large lightning bolt struck the rubbles from above, Ryousuke jumped back quickly unlocks the door once the rubble were finally out of the way. Up high in the ceiling where the golem may not have noticed was Daisuke, then that means the one that the golem was so busy this whole time was just a doppel. Before they were to proceed to the next stage, Daisuke would like to negotiate with the golem asking "Why were you guarding this place, it should have been done with long ago but your still here. What's your reason for guarding this place?" It was really odd that there were still souls around the place eventhough this ruins should be empty long ago but somehow the defence were still function which might means that they are still guarding something but what?

(OOC; you probably should've given some indication that Daisuke made the doppel before hand and the destruction of the rubble in one hit is kind of god-modding but I'll allow it for now)

The giant golem slammed its hand in front of the door before the young boy managed to get through. Bringing itself into a cross-lgged sitting position the Golem looked down at the two. "That's, you CAN talk... and yes I CAN. Present tense. Grammar is very important to me. Now if you are so interested I'll explain. I was built for the purpose of guarding this place. That's the reason and the means by which I exist. The very fact that I'm still alive means that there is something in there which the people who designed this place didn't want someone else to have. Long story short, as long as I protect whatever's behind this doorway I stay alive. And I'm not going to let two little thieves" (he said this last word with extra venom in his gravely voice " kill me just because they decided to get greedy... DO I make myself clear?"

WIthout taking his hand from the doorway the golem leaned in close to them barely a foot away so that they were all at eye level... this was saying something considering that his eyeballs were the size of their respective heads.

Could the boys convince the golem to give up his post and therefore die, or would they find some alternative?

[Surprise attack? Besides, isn't it just normal rocks in smaller size since Ryou were slamming down in size]

They both had shown the same face: and said "I pity you, can't you just rest in peace already? Besides, we aren't here to kill you, just to retreive our memory peice and this place is our first lead. It's OUR memory that holds our past, if you intend to stop us then we have no choice but to go against you until we retreive it" They thought they'd have to fight the golem once again who was now blocking the door. They weren't quite sure what the golem was guarding all this time but if it's their Missing Link, they will never hand it over to anyone though it's not really certain whether the Missing Link is here or not but that's what they've to find out.

(OOC; Say that you are doing a surprise attack and I'll have the NPC's act accordingly. I'm not your enemy here Daisuke. I just have the characters in this setting act according to their roles and provide a legitimate challenge... and now your challenge is dealing with a philosophical old Golem)

"I have been summoned" said the materializing man. It was Noe, and it looked like the boys had made the mistake of saying "no" and accidentaly summoning him. They could ask him one yes or no question about the dungeon and then he would dissapear again.

The golem wore a deep frown. Then drew his lips close. It seemed like he was trying very hard not to laugh. Eventually he just couldn't contain himself anymore. Drawing his head back he laughed heartily and throatily at the twins. After a good five minutes of this he managed to calm down and then wipe what seemed to be a stray piece of gravel away from his eye.

"Let me explain this to you two as best I can in an itemized list... okay? One, you two are telling ME to rest in peace already. Now you doing that is EXACTLY like me telling you two to just drop dead and die. If you think life is worth living then why are you telling a man who's just doing his job to die? Would you want some kid walking in on your job, stealing some candy and then getting fired for it? NO you;d try and stop him, because he was stealingand breaking the law.

Two. It stopped being YOUR memory as soon as it left your head. If you put anything, and I do mean ANYTHING on a piece of paper, or in a box or on a computer it stops being yours and becomes whomever is holding it. Possession is nine tenths of the law, and if you're not holding it, then it is not yours. Sorry kids, but life isn't fair like that. For something to be yours you have to "have" it and then "keep" it, from who tries to "take" it. QED, THEY'RE NOT YOURS ANYMORE.

Three. You two'll die fighting me before you get through. I knew your kind back'n the old days. They actually built this place, built ME in fact." the golem said gesturing at the expansive chamber. "And I know that each of you can only transform so many times before you expire. Your magic isn't unlimited, an I'd say the likes o' you two can't ware down a mountain like me.

Four. What're you doi'n here for if you want your memories. This place is old. OOOOooold old old old old old old. So what in the world makes you think that whatever new-fangled memory storage device you had is here?"

[That sure is some painful words...Four arrows just strucked me Lolz]

The sudden appearence of Noe sure was odd as they didn't summoned him..But since Noe was already summoned, they thought they might as well ask him a question but with the sudden 5 minutes laughter of the golem, they stared at the golem looking like Well since Noe appeared first, they'd talk to Noe first "Is our Missing Link, a peice of our memory even here?"
After Noe's reply [Which is probally a 'No'], they then had a talk with the golem. "Isn't it lonely to live as long as the thing your protecting like maybe forever?" It was sympathy... "Well hearing from that green ghost [Noe] I've gotta' agree this place is old but this was the only lead I had for now and I need those Missing Links as it holds our memory which shouldn't be of any use to anyone else. Anyways, since our Missing Link isn't here then.. what are you guarding?" They asked out of curiousity since it's rather odd. Whether this golem was built by doppelgangers or not, that wasn't really important to them for now.

(OOC; the thing about Noe is that he is kind of a trap. His name is pronounced like "no" or "know" so whenever someone says either of those words, without realizing it they end up summoning him. If they do it too many times they end up having to fight him LOL)

"Not really. If I feel like it I've always got Noe here to talk to. And the other guardians and I usually have more than a few office parties... hehe. I remember last week when you managed to make it with Lizy. I always knew you had a thing for animatronic spiders" THe golem nudged Now with his massive elbow causing Noe to disapear in a sheepish cloud of gray-green smoke.

"As for what I'm guarding...hmmmm.. I think that my chamber leads to a bunch of scrolls. "documents of pertaining interest" and all that. This place is like that warehouse from that Indiana Jones movie...only a lot older. The section I'm charged with guarding is a bunch of old manuscripts and whatnot which the powers at be thought needed to be kept away from the public.... not really significant or anything but hey, it's a reason for existance."

What the giant golem was revealing was astounding to say the least... but there were several major questions to be answered. Was this plaace really created by doppelgangerss? Were the documents he was guarding really as insignificant as he made them out to be? And how in the world did an ancient golem know about Indiana Jones?
