Well since the old man released the broom to stop flying. The twins just hop off on safe ground. As the old man has said, the twins look towards what's up ahead "Shall we check it out?" The twins inquired with a question though it's doubt there a back way either... Only one thing left would be moving on forward...

"Well we dont have to wait very long now do we?"

As he finished his sentence, the monster exploded out of the inner sanctum of the temple, perhaps the "god" of the sacred grounds, it had freed itself due to the recent cave in.

"It appears to be a grand demon, i havent seen one those in awhile, they're A class at least!, this one seems to be no exception!"

The demon, one of high spiritual rank appeared in from inside the temple and leered its blank white globes that were its eyes, its jet black hunched body was only supported by a pair of similarly evil bat wings. He turned to his companion, the earth mage and laughed.

"This is gonna be a doozy, need a help sonny?"

Not quited sure who the old man was directing his words to but whatever.. "Okay..?" Only attention now would be towards the monster hidden within the shadows of darkness with it's bright white eyes..?

"Hehe, this one hell of a training session." Joseph said with a bit of a worried laugh. "Lets bring it down. Erumportus Spiritus Terrestres, Concluderus de Munda et Metalla, Proficcia, Vallum Terrstris ." Joseph chanted the spell the old man taight him hoping it would hit ceiling but the demon used its wing to fly and evade the attack. As it looked at the four it threw dark arrows made of mana. "Orbis terrarum est meus domus , orbis terrarum mos servo mihi ex vulnero" Joseph chanted bringing up an earth wall stoping the arrows. "Those this thing have any weakness??" Joseph asked the old man.

[Don't forget there's Ryou and Daisuke so it's 4 not 3...]

Dai and Ryou thought they wouldn't need to do anything for now at least letting theirselve to observe the two's power of capability "This might be interesting I hope"

"Earth Magic is not the best to use against airborne opponents. Ill teach you another spell, this one is better suited for this kind of opponent. But first, GeroGero, Jovis corpus, precari nos dare nostrum sociae cum confirmare, Dolere Confirmarus

Placing his hands on the back of each of the newbie mages, placing a membrane around each of them, he boosted there attack strength beyond what they had before.

"This one is unique, its a High Ancient spell, Doru Petras its not the strongest, but its the easiest to learn, its of a unique branch of Earth Magic based on petrification."

Joseph felt a sudden burst of power once the old man touched his back. "Petrification..." Joseph knew this was his best option, as the demon kept throwing arrows at them Joseph could only protect them with the walls, though the walls were much stronger. "Whats the incantation?"

"This particular spell doesnt use petrification, but if you do it right, itll deal some serious damage. But watch out"

The greater demon gathered magic into its gaping maw, a mouth so full of evil it was like looking into darkness, and released it as a beam of light heading towards the group. Ignoring the spell, Umi just let it collide with his barriers, they were strong enough to completely shut out the blast.

"The Demon actually has petrification powers, so dont let those beams hit you, and here's the stats...

Description: Creates a warhead made of stone that shoots at a target, equivalent in strength to a converged Sagitta Magica, because the spear is made of actual stone, it will lose its velocity past 15m's.

Daisuke and Ryousuke glanced at each other for a moment "Shall I restrain it for you?" It was just an offer of assistence if required. If not, they'd just continue observing but they did create about 4 doppels while they were free.

It doesn't have any magic inside any doppel as it wasn't merge with Sagitta Magica or anything else that hold magic energy so it's rather unable to be sensed for it's current status. The doppels were sent ahead to move on checking around the area in a form tiny dust particles which is hard to differentiate from all the dust around the old temple which has be 300 feet underground for such a long time..

"Alright, see if you can distract old man, while the twins restrain it." Joseph told the 3 of them. Joseph dashed forward knowing that the best way for this new attack to work would be for Joseph to be at least 5 meters close since he didn't have the best accuaracy. Joseph dashed forward dodging the demons beams as it petrefied everything solid it hit.

Seems like the doppels weren't far ahead but nearer to the demon than the entrance so making a turn around in the same form. Thin lining of threads unseen as it was hidden within the shadows grabbing onto the demons at every moving joints to the other side pulling it backward. Even if it is able to restrain moving forward, it's slower in movement speed now so it should be good enough to hold on till Joseph manage to get within the desire range. The demon's mouth wasn't restrained though since it was hard to see where it's mouth was so it wouldn't be surprising if it suddenly opens up firing some sort of flame thrower..

Since the incantaion wasn't short Joseph knew he wouldn't be able to attack from the front since he would be wide open to an attack. He kept running until he was behind the demon, "Erumportus Spiritus Terrestres, Concluderus de Munda et Metalla, Proficcia, Vallum Terrstris" the earth lifted sending Joseph high in the air, "Toi dorui dergmati toxeusato" a warhead of stone was made infront of Joseph, and as he was throwing it to the back of the demon, the demon turned his head around 180 degress(Exsorcism style), though surprised Joseph was able to throw the warhead "EAT IT!!" As Joseph threw it, the warhead went through the demons mouth as it was about to shoot another beam, the spear penetrated it to the ground, and due to the demon charging its petrefication beam the warhead caused it to petrify himself, leaving the demon a stone in the ground.

(You guys both did things that made absolutely no sense, but i guess its creative...)

Umi watched as they pulled of a (very) implausible win, his buff had a lot to do with it, but he didnt really mind. The demon would free itself from its confines anyway, so he decided to move things along without telling them.

"I bet whatever is in the temple is the bees knees"

[Okay.. that was crazy fast for defeating an A-rank demon..?]

Daisuke and Ryousuke did nothing much useful though since it was just restraining but it doesn't matter much to them at all since they get to keep their stamina for anything surprising later. So now heading on with the group towards the next entrance going through the pathway...

(If you take the super buff into consideration, it was just a little fast, but it certainly wouldnt be difficult, im about AA rank right now)

"Ill keep an eye on the demon, you guys can go on ahead"

Umi sat next to the petrified demon as the other mages went on ahead.

Staring at the old man with uneasyness "And why must you keep an eye on it..?" What's the point in staying behind the group anyways. It's suspicous and rude for them to leave an old man alone like that...

(No in combat rating, im around AA rank given negima standards, if not C-rank here)

"Simple, Higher Demons are immune to their own magic, its gonna wake up in a little while, so you may to get going, ill hold it off"

Umi sat on his staff and waited lazily for the demon to wake up, through his ESP, he got a position on Yoko, he was far away, but he would be here in a few moments.

After what he had been through Joseph decided to trust the old man. "Ok, I'll see whats over there." Joseph said moving down the hall and into a huge room. Inside the room was a scroll in the middle. As Joseph moved to pick up the scroll, the walls broke and 3 sandworms bursted in the scene.

[Alright, was just curious]

The twins seemed to have no other choice and decided to follow Joseph onto the next area. Upon reaching, Joseph must've accidently did something seeing 3 sandworms appearing from behind the walls that has become rubble of rocks on the ground. They quickly get near Joseph though it seems like they are being surrounded..

"Hmm... Akuma~san, why were you locked in that temple?"

The demon awakened as quickly as it was petrified, it stared at Umi for a moment, who used his ESP to detect his intentions and found that, his magic was weak, his resistance was too low to have blocked his own petrification spell, and he was confused as to where he was. Umi, being essentially a spirit himself, used translation magic to communicate with this poor soul, and after healing his body and calming his mind, struck up a conversation with the monster.

As it turned out, the demon was trapped here by an evil human cult, Umi was not surprised, humans had a habit of doing awful things to the magical races, demons were not an exception. Up ahead, he felt the presence of the sand worms as they attack the group. He did really want to help out the humans more than he needed to, he was already tired of his facade and gave in. He took his staff and flew back to the huge hole that they fell through, he wished his Demon friend good luck and met up with Yoko later.

walking thru a mountain side, "Ahh man im Hungry", then spot a tent with some food."Hmm since its here i get some lunch but i pay that guy back", as soon as i was done sensed danger and set of in that direction running towards a temple of sorts. Anyone in there?, I shouted but got no response so i broke into the temple and saw 2 people geting attacked by what its seems to giant worms. With a quick jerk of my right hand, I threw My kunai to slice one worm it a nice and clean piece. Hey, do u need Help? saying it jokingly.

[Note: The group is 300 feets underground within a temple]
Daisuke went straight for one leaving the other 2 more sandworms to Josept and Ryousuke "I'll handle this one" Daisuke lowered his head level spinning along the ground with his left leg like the tip of a spinning top and the right leg in a form a slicer blade. Daisuke struke his attack at the sandworm's body since it seems to be the weakest defence but also the hardest target. The sandworm rose it's head level and jumped over Daisuke digging into the ground dodging Daisuke's attack. Daisuke slammed his right leg still in the same form of the slicer blade to push his body backward and upward. Using his left leg to strike the sandworm's body since it's long, it would take time before it's entire body gets into the hold so the attack was a successful hit.

Hearing rumors of training in the mountains Darren decided he should start actively trying to be strong for once in his life. Seeing a tent and a man taking his share of the fill and smiling sarcastically to himself, he decided to watch him suddenly jet off in another direction.

"Hmm might as well hangout here for a bit."
