Najiko, Nana, and all of Jess's other students were still quite sad over Jess's death. She was the best teacher they all had ever had, and her death was like seeing a family member pass away to most of them. But that was why they had to respect her memory. That was why they were here, in the shrine she'd carved into a shoreside cliff. They were here to maintain the place, and all of them were doing various activites to help clean and maintain the shrine.

Marie had tagged along due to an invitation from Najiko. She had the job of cleaning up the wax from burned candles, and her special 'gifts' made that an easy job with the small amounts of flammable materials the others provided her to birst into flames with her magic. Najiko'd provided a special bone scraper for the job as well.

Darren was already there as he turned to face them.

Ara? Hey Najiko
he said waving them over.

You came to pay your respects also?
He asked them.

Yea... she was really brave in that cave he said slowly, he made his best fake smile. Those three were really something

...but anyways don't let little ole' me be a downer. Who is with you all?

Najiko nodded, stating simply "The rest of Jess-sensei's students." There were dozens of them, all doing something to maintain the shrine. They all took their jobs quite seriously, doing them to the best of their ability until the shrine was clean. Then they all gathered, except for Marie.

"Those who have anything that was significant to Jessica Emiline Cowart, make a line and step forward in order." Marie stated, receiving each object in turn and placing it on the shrine. First was a CD labeled 'Angels From Up On High by Shinji' from that student himself, second was Aki's Curse-Breakers pendant, and so on.

Darren took in the scene from the sides.

He took a look at all the items being put forth and noticed that they were all very random objects that related to the person.

Hmph she was able to connect with each and everyone of them
he noted softly.

He took a look at them and with a sigh gathered them over.

Alright...it's good to see everyone show how much Jess-san has affected you all.
He took another sweeping look to take in how many people she affected. To commemorate her memory I suggest we build a monument in her name that will tell of all our thanks and what we plan to do with ourselves when we depart from here he said in a clear voice.

He then pointed to a giant obelisk nearby the shrine.

They then proved their devotion to her by dragging the thing successfully into the shrine. They then inscribed their names on it with a plaque at it's base

"All thanks go to Jess,

Fighter, Caretaker, and Inspiration to all of us"

They then all wrote down their thanks and plans for the future down for her.

After they'd each carved their names, there was a moment of peace before Aki, the young Ten-year-old girl, looked outside and saw that the sun had set. "Oh, drat..." She muttered.

Najiko knew Darren had never known this so she stated simply "Aki has a curse on her that means if she goes out during night-time, she turns to stone until it is daytime again. Some Darkness mage did this after she tried spying on him, he didn't want her interfering with his plans."

Shinji sighed, going over to Aki. "It's ok. Will it feel better if I stay here with you?"

Aki at first didn't look too happy about it but then mumbled "Oh, ok." It was clear she didn't want to cause any additional trouble for Shinji but would gladly accept his offer anyway.

Darren was surprised hearing this.

Oh god...that's horrible
he stated as he took in the depressing mood.

Are you saying some of you are still cursed?
he asked looking at the other members of the group.

No it can't end here he stated. We have to continue Jess's work so that nothing like that will happen again
he said at Aki.

Tell me what do we have to do?

Roy nodded. "Unfortunately yes..." He knew, he could never enjoy the experience of ocean water or he would require medical attention.

David knew his sister Aki the best. "There's this one fountain in Elysium that's almost impossible to find, but it can remove all but the most troublesome of curses. At least a third of us would be lifted of quite some difficult troubles if we could find it, but Jess-Sensei said the treck would be too dangerous for us even if we did work together, and that there had to be a safer alternative."

[Jukensong, does this mean you're willing to take over leadership of the Curse-Breakers?]

(Hell Nah, My guy's npc's were bandits and just got mostly wiped out by Jecht)

Tck well then we have to do something about that, now don't we? He said matter o factly.

He gathered around the other Cursebreakers for another announcement.

It has come to my attention some of you are still fighting the blight curses have put upon this world.

He looked at them.

But this fight has to end, once and for all! He said sending a few concerned murmurs to ripple in the crowd. Now I've been told that there is a fountain that could possible heal 1/3rd of you all.

Now you as Cursebreakers must make the path to this permanently safe! After that we'll hunt other areas with similar properties so that people will always have a safe place to go to be forever cured!
He ended with a fist raised up in the air.

However...these types of excursions will be difficult even with out numbers. I know Jess probably trained you very well... I know you would be able to keep yourselves alive very long
he remembered she was a defense teacher.

However that will not be enough! We'll need more people! We need people of power! Contact everyone you know who can help.

...If I must I'll act as a coordinator for the finding and acquisition of these sites
.

(Now a bunch of ppl can come in)

This will be your first mission together CurseBreakers... The battle for fountain so and so

(New thread for later? Or wanna get alot of people to join and work to get the fountain?)
