Well, before we go in, what is the first thing we'll learn? Taurou's impatience had gotten to him and his curiosity was at its peak. He tried acting detached like he always did, but with these people he felt at ease somewhat.

Entering the cabin the three men would discover spacious living arrangements. Windows had been cut out of the sides of the walls in small squares on both levels. A loft held several bunks for sleeping. A multipatterned carpet adorned the floor and an icebox sat in the far corner. I small vase of flowers sat over by the window and the kitchenete area occupied the far left side of the room. All in all the place looked fairly good for only an hours work. He would need his shadows to go into town and steel some amenities some time but that could wait for now Morimer had work to do... or should I say "work".

aking a deep breath Mortimer tuned around and echaled slowly before beggining. "Now my friends, we learn how to relax. You have both fought hard and are wounded. Your magic is drained and you have pushed each other far enough. to gain more power you must learn when not to work and relax your body... but in the mean time you can keep your minds active with these." With that Mortimer whipped out two comicbooks from inside his shirt. One was for some obscure superhero and the other was a retelling of the life of the wizard Merlin, one of the worlds greatest historical fiction.

handing the two boys the comicbooks mortimer pulled a childrens book written by doctor seuss out of his coat, and lay down on the couch on the far side of the wall reading it in the sunlight.

Daisuke just looked around the space ,he then took the comic book Mortimer has given though Daisuke didn't really read it for some reason .He just sat another couch and stayed quiet .Looking outside ,staring at the green grass swaying .

Taurou stared at the comic master had placed in his hands and then at Daisuke who was doing the same. He then looked at his master who was reading doctor seuss. What the hell... He sat down next to a window rubbing his shoulder.

Taurou had a bad case of insomnia so when he tried sleeping it was futile. He grew bored of trying to sleep and looked at master peacefully reading his Dr. Seuss book. Master? Why do you read such a childish book?

Looking up from his book he replied "I've spent the better part of my life including the time when I was sleeping, studying, working or putting the undead back where they belong. The point being that I find childrens books a wonderful stress reliever as they include none of these things. Conflict without effort. Get in the right mindset and you will find all the pearls of wisdom they contain... also Dr. Suess is hilarious such whimsical nonsense rhyms. And if you are really having such a hard time sleeping you can always do something you enjoy. DOn;t you have anything of interest other than getting stronger?" With that Mortimer turned back to his childrens book.

Taurou hadn't thought about enjoyment much. He enjoyed getting stronger, was that was master was talking about? Nah, couldn't be. He stood up and walked outside to the lakeside. He sat there just staring at the crystal blue water-- it looked strange.

Master! Come out here. Something's wrong with the ---

A water demon rose out of the water in an explosion of foam and ice cold water, soaking Taurou.

As soon as Daisuke heard Taorou's voice he quickly went to the lakeside to see what was going on and saw a water demon and a soaking wet Taorou "Wha- ?!" His eyes were wide open and quickly got in stance .

Odd, Mortimer didn't think that there were any demons around here... then again he had been wrong before. He folded a corner of the Dr. Suess book page before going outside... And was summarily splashed. Spitting a bit of water out of his mouth and wiping the wetness from his scrunched eyes he pressed forward. He stood in front of the water demon being continually splashed by the being... it was more an annoyance than any actual pain but still. Attempting to enunciate as best he could while being splashed with water he spoke to the demon. "I *gurrgle* hereby invoke *blub blub splash* article seven *pluuush boosh* of the demons code *splash* and so you must vacate the local wherein a person of sound moral fiber resides." Mortimer hoped he had gotten it right. Did article seven have to do with unlawful occupancy or if it had to do with possessing someone. Regardless odds are it would come to blows... unless he managed to invoke artical three and start a rock off challenge.... but then again that usually had to do with getting back ones soul so there may not have been much presidence for it. Anyway there was a demon here and one way or another it had to be dealt with.

Taurou looked at master and cocked an eyebrow. He didn't know what was going on but muttered his activation key under his breath and was about to start casting a spell.

"What shall we do about it ?" Daisuke asked as he walked closer and then asked a random question "Are we going to tame it ?" he said as he was serious about it ,tilted his head to one side .

I'd say we should! Taurou cast Fulguratio Ablicans at the water demon and the lightning curved and slammed into it. It shrieked in pain and shipped a dozen or so frozen arrows at Taurou's master.

Watch out! He yelled diving infront of his master, being impaled by the ice arrows.

Gah, Taurou had about six ice arrows protruding from his chest and stomach. He coughed up blood and looked at the demon. He dropped to one knee and turned to look at his master.

Ha, looks like my trainin's up...

He smiled a sad smile with blood trailing from his lips. There was blood flowering all over the spots where the arrows hit. He dropped with a sickening plop and the blood pooled under him. He was unconscious or dead, but it didn't matter. The demon was in the hands of his master and Daisuke now.

Invoking the right of all teachers, Mortimer utilized the secret technique which could only be utilized in this situation. "Baka Punch!!!! You want to become stronger yes!?" Picking up his already downed and punched student Mortimer began shaking back and forth by his collar. "Wake up you fool. If you want to be stronger than wake up already! WAKE UP ALREADYYYY!!! ". By this point Taurou's eyes had rolled to the back of his head and he was foaming at the mouth. All the while blood continued to drip from his already profuse wounds.

Letting the lightning mage drop back down to the ground like a sack of potatoes, he turned back to face the water demon. "Daisuke, converged fire saggitta magica bolts on my mark... ready... mark!" Running towards the demon mortimer had already interwoven his trench coat with shadow, reinforcing its lining. He jumped and he just hoped Daisuke was smart enough to use the technique, As Mortimer was jumping, he felt a wave splash over and through him, hurting like hell and dampening his clothes, he had to exert pressure similar to a shundo in order to get through it. Still, none of that would matter just so long as Daisuke had done his job right.

[when you said Daisuke was unconscious from the wounds, did you mean Taurou? XDD]

There was yells, flashes, and heat flying all around Taurou. He wasn't dead--- yet. He just stayed where he was dropped by his master. He couldn't move. The arrows of ice had hit vital points in his nervous system. He wouldn't be able to move for a good while. To top that off, the ice from the arrows spread to freeze the spots of the body each arrow had hit. If the demon wasn't killed soon, the ice would encase him and kill him. If he didn't die from blood loss first. His breathing came slow, ragged and uneven, but at least he was breathing. He felt so useless, he hated the feeling.

He heard a splash when his master had jumped in the water. He didn't want to leave it all to his master. He had to help! But what could he do? Pretty much dead on the ground, being frozen to the ground. There was something odd about the sound his master made when he hit the water. It wasn't just a splash, it was more like a slap. His master was in danger.

Sunova-- he managed to choke out and his fingers twitched.

Daisuke saw Mortimer and Taorou fighting the water demon and got hurt "Well taming it is one problem but hurting someone else is another " .He heard Mortimer asking him to cast a fire Sagitta Magica .He glared at the monster and starts his incantation "Dop Pe Ru , 8 spiritus ignis coentes sagittet inimicum " clling forth 6 fire Sagitta Magica 2 merge with his hands that soon took the form of a crossbow remaining 6 more . Arrows slowly forms at each side getting longer by the sec .He aimed towards the water demon and at a fires the multiple arrows rapidly towards the monster till the Sagitta Magica on dissappeared but he still had 6 more .

Taurou started by twitching his fingers, to moving his hands, to moving his arms. He heard Daisuke send off his arrows of fire and knew that things had gotten difficult. He did his best to work his arms under his chest to push himself up but the going was tough, and every inch he moved, more blood was vomited or oozed from his wounds.

He should have been dead but he's somehow still alive and now almost standing. He got into a crouched position and started to yank out one of the arrows of ice.

Gah! he yelped as the arrow stood fast in his chest and the ice grew more on him. Oh how he started to hate ice now. He looked at the arrows of ice protruding from his chest, and then up at Daisuke sending off arrows of his own. His vision got hazy and he couldn't see.

Not going down now! He yelled in his head. He placed his hand on one of the ice arrows, started his incantation as well. Using the last reserves of magical power he had in his body he started Poen a dioddefaint, Flans Exarmatio!
And blew off two of the ice arrows.

More blood vomit followed.

The demon growled and sent off ice Sagitta Magica to deflect Daisuke's fire Sagitta Magica. There were huge plumes of steam popping up everywhere in the midst of the lake between Daisuke and the demon. It lost its sight of Taurou's master but it didn't care. The target it had in mind was the weakened one trying to regain his power.

OOC; sorry Pyoh, but Daisuke sent off lightning Saggitta Magica, entirely different effect on water, goes right through it. I am afraid that I will have to proceed without your post sorry =( mostly so I can fit in with what Daisuke wrote, hope you dont mind

Crap Mortimer thought. He had asked for fire arrows not lightning arrows... now this was going to hurt. Wiping off
his shadow infused coat, Mortimer caught the lightning arrows, but did not let the shadow abosrb them. Of course this was very painful given the nature of lightning to spread, but he managed to catch at least a few of Daisukes split arrows. Forming his coat into a makeshift bag containing the torturous lightning, Mortimer was just within range now.... he slammed the bag over the "head" of the water demon. The being howled in agony as the lightning coursed through both him and Mortimer, but as the demon was in pain now, Mortimer could now unfold his trap. The shadows contained in his coat expanded swallowing up the electrically agonized beast. Reaching out and encapsulating the monster in a gigantic bag of shadow. Mortimer gritted his teeth, he was afraid that the creature would thrash too much, that his bag would break, that he might not get all of it. All these doubts thrashed through Mortimers mind at once. In a last burst of effort he commanded the shadow within the bag to capture it. More pain, more gritted teeth... but less squirming. Forcing the last drops of energy through it, Mortimer sealed the bag of shadow and let himself role down it, keeping a firm grip on the opening as the top rotated to water level. Steadily and exhausted he dragged the bag to shore, smalldrops of nromal water condensating on its outside, while the demon within was trapped in the shadow, unable to draw strength from anywhere but the water inside the bag which was fast leaving.

Panting, Mortimer came ashore, and kneeled in front of Daisuke. He looked the little doppleganger straight in the ey and panted "We need to talk."

[Actually while i was asleep you 2 were posting and I didnt notice that Mortimer asked for fire so i editted the post from lightning to fire but seems like you didn't notice that .So basically I am stucked on what to post right now . . .]

Taurou had exhausted the rest of his magic supply completely. He looked up at master and how he had decimated the demon. There were still four arrows in his chest and he wiped his blood covered mouth. He wouldn't be able to stand, he could barely see still. His peripheral vision was completely covered in black, and just looking straight was getting to be a daunting task. He laughed in his head taunting himself. How weak he was...

He clenched his fists tight and gritted his teeth and got into a sitting position, using one of the blown off arrows as a rest. He placed his back on the cold arrow that was now dissipating. He couldn't speak. Everytime he did, he coughed up blood. Speaking right now wasn't important. He just had to stay awake and try to listen in on what master and Daisuke were talking about.

He saw that when they were speaking, they indicated him. His vision just blanked out and he went unconscious again when they started towards him.

His subconscious was taunting his weaknesses. How he wanted to choke his subconscious...

Daisuke heard Mortimer and asked "What is it I wonder . . . ?" but then again "Why not we recover up ourselves first .Then we'll talk about it ?" Daisuke said as he point towards Taorou "He doesn't seem like in a good condition currently . . ." .

Rolling his eyes slightly Mortimer replies "Fine, but we need to have a serious talk soon". Gripping the oversized yet steadily shrinking bag in one hand and the bleeding body of Taurou in the other, he drags the two of them up the three rough wooden steps to the cabin before throwing them both on the couch. Mortimer had sen people survive worse than this, and if he died from this little, well then he probably wasn't worth teaching. Going over to the icebox Mortimer withdrew a glass bottle of coke before he sat down in the highbacked armchair, flicked off the lid ad took a swig. It had been a long day for him and now what he needed was sleep. Coke still in hand Mortimer slumped slightly before shutting his eyes and drifting off to a deep, deep sleep.

After walking back to the log cabin everyone was seemingly stressed out by the incident .Daisuke saw Mortimer drifted of to sleep "We must be tired I guess" Daisuke stood at a certain point and looked at Mortimer thinking "What did he wanted to say though. . ."but it's pretty much pointless to think about it now since Mortimer is already sleeping .As Daisuke walk towards the couch ,he fell "Wha-?" he laid down on the couch and thought he was just stress out which in the end ,he ended up sleeping as well .

Looking at it, you all mostly posted in simiar quantity (Mortimer had less posts, but they were big), so I'll equally distribute a reward to you all.
